Hole in the wall joint with some killer Italian food and huge portions at a great price. The calamari steak was a first for me.... It's a grilled slab of squid with olives, spinach, and sun dried tomatoes. Super meaty, rich, tangy, all around awesomeappetizer and a great way to enjoy calamari. The ragu pasta was amazing. The beef was incredibly tender and the sauce completedthe beef perfectly. Tiramisu was good, standard tiramisu. Solid way to finish up the meal. Overall, strongly recommend thisplace, I'm do glad I found it. The prices are fair, portions are HUGE, and the food is delicious. Read more

Hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem! The portions were huge, yet my friends and I devoured everything. We ordered the stuffed zucchini... as an appetizer and loved the fresh marinara sauce that came with it. You must try the harvest gnocchi with butternut squash andmushrooms! We also enjoyed the porky cast iron pizza (awesome crust) and chicken piccata. Tiramisu is a must! Can?t wait toreturn on an empty stomach to try the family style - the menu changes daily but for $30-50 pp you get a ton of food from salad, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Ambiance is super casual and no frills. Good place to take a date. Thank you Robert and teamfor a great meal! Read more

Food was absolutely fantastic! My wife and I ordered mozzarella and calamari for appetizers. We ordered the calamari without the... batter. The calamari steak was cooked perfectly and had a nice garlicky taste to it. She ordered chicken saltimbocca and Iordered spaghetti and meatballs with melted mozzarella and sausage as extras. The meatballs were HUGE. About 3 quarter poundseach! Both meals were hot, fresh, and extremely flavorful. The restaurant is small, quiet, and has that "hole in the wall" vibe.Everyone was nice and accommodating and the food was amazing. Prices were fair (around $15.00 a plate). We'll definitely beback. Don't be deceived by it's exterior, Aglio e Olio has some of the best Italian food I've ever had in Seattle. A friend and I... decided to have a few of their specials tonight and we were delightfully satisfied and surprised at how tasty everything endedup being. Don't skip out on the tiramisu, the pièce de résistance! The bruschetta itself was a bit plain but the mushrooms ontop were divine. The octopus and steak were an interesting combination but ended up being a match made in heaven with flavorfulpotato medallions to round things out. As much as it pains me though, the only missing star came from the ambience inside. It'sa quaint little restaurant and it's easy to do a double take on the tables and chairs and question if you're in the right place. Then again, I'd let the food speak for itself here. Still highly recommended for excellent food and excellent service! Read more
