5 spot café was surprisingly really good. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they forgot to bring me part of... my order (French fries for breakfast ????)and gave me a pancake instead of waffles, which we still ate but make sure you arevery clear about your order. Food quality was really good! Presentation was good as well, better than other breakfast places inSeattle, surprisingly. Their potatoes, both the jack red potatoes and the hash browns were really good, they had a mix of bellpeppers and onions sautéed in which was a nice addition. The place does have an old smell to it but you kind of forget about itwhen you are there and the food makes you forget about it too! The napkins were super nice too! Not white and generic like otherplaces. Bathrooms were pretty clean 4/5 cleanliness. I?d definitely come back! :) Read more

Absolutely worth the wait. Just leave your phone number and walk around the neighborhood while you wait. It?s not the biggest... diner but it?s big on flavor and service. So thankful they?ve reopened and have the same quality of food. Food came outsurprisingly fast. Portions seem bigger than from before the close too. Definitely go here for breakfast/brunch if you?re in thearea. You won?t be disappointed. Read more

By @iwanttobewhatieat Good Morning from @5spotseattle This restaurant has been here for most of my life and although it?s been... twenty five years since I sat at this bar, it did not disappoint for Breakfast. The location is an icon on Queen Anne. TheBreakfast Hash is the way to go and if you are looking for more traditional breakfast then go with the 5 Spot. Home madecinnamon roll to go for the win! If you came back expecting the former 5 Spot culinary quality, you'll be let down. Not sure if the staff or kitchen are still... working out kinks but the food quality doesn't merit the price paid. It was pretty sad compared to what this restaurant used toserve pre pandemic. We ordered some loaded potatos as a happy hour appetizer that looked really sad. Server forgot the sourcream, pico de gallo and when reminded, he returned with watery sour cream, my husband didn't want to risk trying. I ordered achicken pasta which was OK but it tasted like a grocery store pasta. My husband ordered quesadillas were not great -- flavorlesschicken. I hope they can improve but in meantime won't steer friends here. Read more

SO HAPPY THEY ARE BACK OPEN!!! I was so sad when they closed over Covid, and was listed on google as "permanently closed"... So... happy they were able to revive the place and reopen! I stopped in for some takeout and there was a huge waitlist, about 20-30mins with people waiting outside. They set up a complimentary coffee station for everyone waiting, which was so nice!! Alwaysworth the wait, this place is one of my favorites for brunch. We ordered Chicken Fried Steak with Hash Browns and a Biscuit, andthe Eggs Benedict on a Biscuit with Spicy Potatoes. Definitely recommend if you've never had eggs benny on a biscuit - it'sabsolutely amazing!! Will be back for lunch or dinner menu as well. Read more

This is my first time to try the five spot again since they opened in Queen Anne a few days ago. It was a terrific experience... and I want to share it because it was significant. I had the corned beef hash and poached eggs which was worth every penny andperfectly prepared but it was the total experience that made it so special and I will be a regular when they open every Sundaymorning before I go on a hike. No line then by the way. My server was named Tim and he not only was friendly but he wascomforting because I had had a rough time yesterday and really just wanted to enjoy a quiet breakfast with a friendly crew. Ifeel like I have a new friend there and a delicious place for breakfast and I can?t wait until they start serving lunch anddinner as well. Read more

I moved to Seattle before the pandemic from the east coast, where diners are plenty and a personal favorite cuisine (the... Northeast goes hard in mom & pop diners!). I haven't found my diner in Seattle until today: 5 Spot is fantastic! The 24/7breakfast dish is your classic eggs, potatoes, toast and meat meal. It was spot-on. I even forgot to take a photo of my dish, all I have is this photo of my cleaned plate! This is a no-frillls classic diner at an awesome location at the top of QueenAnne. Glad they reopened-I look forward to coming back! Read more

Delighted this place has re-opened! 5 Spot was one of my favorite spots for both brunch and late-night drinks before they closed... due to the pandemic. They've been reopened for less than a week as I write this, but they're just as good as I remember and Ihope to see their rotating regional menu back in action soon. Read more
