Reviews for Drifters of Seaside in Seaside Heights, NJ
Stopped by drifters midweek for dinner and drinks. The watermelon cocktail was made with fresh ingredients and was delicious!... The bartender Lindsay was so kind and provided detailed recommendations of not only the cocktails but the food menu too. Whodoesn?t love staff that gives honest feedback to questions?! I ordered the barrel burger and it was so good. Definitely not youraverage burger at the bar, it actually had flavor. I can?t wait to go back and try out this shrimp dish that?s served in apineapple. Will definitely be back! Read more
Enjoyed the Calamari as apptz. The Korean Short Ribs was very good, just small portion of the ribs (about 3 - 4 oz) and the... rice and macaroni salad were both good. The beer selection is not very good. Enjoyed the dinner just needed a little more andmore domestic and import selections. Read more

A new seafood restaurant & bar located on the Boulevard in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Drifters offers a variety of small... plate options as well as raw bar selections and signature cocktails. We ate indoors which had a nice lively atmosphere. Thereis also seating in the bar area with seating at the bar itself and a few high top tables. For my next visit I will sit in thelarge beach-like outdoor setting complete with an old Volkswagen Bus serving as the outdoor bar. Fun spot for couples orfamilies.......Enjoy! Read more
Drifters was the first unofficial stop for my noble chum posse during a recent sojourn in Lavallette - we decided to come for... dinner prior to a people-watching expedition on the Seaside boardwalk. All of us were surprised at how...not Seaside boardwalkthis place was. I'd guess it's less than two blocks away from that seediness, and yet you'd never know. One chum remarked thatit was almost like visiting Brooklyn. I'm not going THAT far, but it was located in a pleasant little area that felt moreauthentic Jersey Shore than the unfortunate reality show with the same name. We showed up around 6pm, parking in a $15 lot onthe next block, manned by an older fellow with a folding chair (Did he just commandeer the lot unbeknownst to local officials?Who can say? One of the many mysteries of Seaside.). The place was decently packed, especially the outdoor area, which looked tohave an island bar and a lot of seating. Since no one was particularly interested in waiting, we opted for the less-popularindoor seating, which was perfectly pleasant and right next to the window. The menu was interesting - there are a lot of randomphoto-shopped pictures of random guys in black and white, mostly with long beach hair throughout. The style and colors gave offearly 90s, New Kids on the Block album art. I ordered the Drifters Old Fashioned ($13, which was true for all items on thecocktail menu), and that was pretty solid. The rum and toasted coconut syrup gave it a nice sweet zing to counter the bitters;I'd definitely get it again. After a bit of hemming and hawing, our group decided to order a bunch of shareables. We went withthe Shrimp Tempura ($14), the Tuna Poke ($15) and the Grilled Korean Short Ribs ($32). Everyone enjoyed the Tempura and Poke -nothing out of this world, but solid contributors to the meal. The Short Ribs were really the only item that didn't make thegrade, and from the get-go, they just didn't look very appetizing. I wish I had remembered to take a pic Read more
