Convenient but just okay food after a hike at Jordan Pond. This spot is right by the pond with parking that gets crowded. Their... outdoor space with a gorgeous lake view has a good set up for outdoor wedding ceremonies and events while their indoor space hasseveral tables with an open wall and outdoor view. Though it was quite busy around lunchtime, we were seated right away. Servicewas excellent but the food was just alright. My Lobster Bisque was barely warm and had a skimpy amount of meat. Then though theyboast about their popovers, they were just okay and at room temperature. I've made better and have had betterelsewhere. NOTES/TIPS: **It's the only food spot near the pond but there are other ones about 15 minutes driving (5 milesaway). **Nice gift shop attached with rustic and nature-themed items. **Zero to very spotty cellphone service. **Bees areaplenty!!! Buzz buzz buzz! Read more

Good food with a stunning view. The lobster rolls and blueberry crumble were so good. Maybe I?m weird, but I?m not sure what all... the fuss over popovers is about? They were tasty, but not life changing. Their online reservation system doesn?t seem to work, Imade ours almost a month ahead of time and then they told me they didn?t have one. Read more

If you?re allergic to bees I don?t recommend sitting outside. The lobster roll was good, (the quinoa that I got with it was a... little strong on the goat cheese? And didn?t hit my enjoyment button for a light fare) the drinks were great, the view superband the hosts very effective. It helped that we showed up early as parking rapidly turned into a nightmare. The top overs weresuper good, watch out for the jam as it attracted a ton of bees. Honestly we ended up not eating the jam and the bees left usalone. Read more

Several visits over the past twelve years. If you are vacationing in Acadia National Park you must go here at least once. The... poppvers are the reason to try this place. It's an Acadia tradition of sorts. All else is a solid three star but the popoversare the four star. English breakfast tea and warm popovers with butter and jam are such a treat after hiking around Jordan Pond. The hike is easy for a family and many folks bring their little dogs along so you know young children are fine to walk thetrail. The grilled cheese was barely warm let alone grilled ( see the picture) and the food is just okay. The place is beautifuland the staff is great and things move quickly, but you will need a reservation. Read more

A good restaurant with a terrific view. The pond is a small walk down a dirt path, and the restaurant has a direct view of the... mountain side. As for the food, absolutely loved the blueberry lemonade, a perfect balance between sweet and tart. The Shepard'spie is incredible and avoids the pitfall of having to much oil. If you want a less hearty dish, the popovers + beverage is agreat option. Be warned: if you order jelly, a small horde of bees will quickly navigate to your table. Even so, the jelly isquite fabulous. Read more

This experience was worth the wait! Our server was amazing being attentive to our needs without swarming our table. He was super... busy but when he was with us he made us feel as if we were the only table that mattered. Now, most reviews will probably tellyou that the popovers are amazing, and they are, but so was everything else. The food was delicious! We also enjoyed the herbaliced blueberry tea more than the hot blueberry black tea. The herbal was much more flavorful than the black tea. Read more

You really should make this a priority because the food was amazing and the views of Jordan Pond were incredible. They don't... take reservations so be prepared for a wait unless you go before or after prime lunch time. Also, the food was a littleexpensive but it was delicious and you're literally paying for the location too! You have to try their popovers (they are famousfor them)! We ordered the chicken salad sandwich, lobster roll, crab cakes, and blueberry sorbet. When we come back, we willdefinitely come back! Read more

Popovers are slightly undercooked bread balls. Any yeasty thing with butter and jam will taste good. If you really want to try... it but don't want to wait in line, buy the dough mix and the jam from the gift store and bake yourself two dozen in a cupcakepan. That said, great service, wonderful location, and a pleasant (albeit mildly pricey) alternative to vending machines andcabin cafes that you find in most national parks. Quick tip, the closest parking fills quickly, but there are plenty of nearbyparking spots and the tables turn over every hour or quicker. Read more
