Loved my shrimp taco order. Nice blend of blackened spices, cabbage and corn tortilla. The Mexican rice was excellent and... that's saying a lot because a lot of restaurants use too much oil in their rice. Sam's Boat rice is clean and flavorful. Noheavy oil. The Borracho beans were spicy, but not too much. It had the right amount of "kick to it. Thanks to Bailey forrecommending this dish! Definitely will visit again. Read more

Close to the water with a nice view. It was way too hot to eat outside, but they have dozens of outdoor and indoor seating. The... service was pretty slow, we ate dinner at 4:15 on a Tues and it took over half an hour for food. Our waitress was very kind,prompt and always kept the waters full. I ordered grilled catfish and it was great. My son had the avocado burger and enjoyed itand my daughter enjoyed the chicken wings (appetizer). We all enjoyed their calamari, great flavor and well cooked. Thehostesses were very rude when we walked in. There was a sign that said to seat yourself, but I felt that was odd so I asked toconfirm. She responded "uh yea," and went back to chatting with the other person and left us to wander in ourselves. On our wayout I said thank you and they ignored us. Read more
I rarely ever give anything under 3* unless they absolutely deserve it. We were a party of 6. Place was about 4 parties there.... Food came out super late. Everyone's main course had something wrong with it. -Wife had 2 strands of hair in her food. Catfishunderseasoned and their jalapeño sauce looked something out of a sauce bottle and watery -Crawfish literally had muddy water inthe bottom of the bowl. You know if it's that bad, then it was poorly seasoned. -Snowcrabs had a weird moss looking thing onmost of them. Undercooked. -Mahi Mahi grilled was just okay. Nothing spectacular nor terrible. -Margarita was decent. On thestronger side, which I liked. -Brownie dessert was pretty good. So guess come here for a drink and dessert and call it a nightfolks. Love sitting outside and watching the boats go by. We split the crab queso with homemade chips, it was so big we were too full... for anything else. It was so delicious! We needed extra chips and they brought them right out! Read more
Pleasantly surprised! Had a great experience with Bianca as our server. She was super nice and checked on us often. Tried the... crab cakes with the etouffee sauce along with a house salad. The spicy ranch was amazing! My hubby loved the red snapperponchatrain dish with dirty rice. We will return soon! Be sure to give them a try... Read more
The staff was friendly and the food was really good. Reasonably priced. I had a great birthday there today.
We were in the area for a wedding and Sams Boat was across the street from our hotel so we gave it a try. We were glad we did.... Food and drinks were good. Waitress was very attentive and engaging. We had a fantastic view of the sunset looking across ClearLake from our table on the deck, see photo. If we are back in the area again I would come back here again. Read more
