I really wanted this to be great. I travelled from Corpus Christi to eat here. It was Oct 13th so off season and not busy. I... was served an overcooked lobster. Lobster bisque was generic and uninspiring. Onion rings were good. But when lobster is inthe name it better be the star of the meal. May have been good/great at some point in the past. Fresh, delicious seafood! I prefer Brown's over the other place nearby. Brown's food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly... and helpful, and the dining area is very spacious and super clean. There's plenty of parking, and if you're there around sunsetbe ready for an amazing view of the sky as the sun goes down. Read more
The clam bellies were ok. Nowhere else comes close to clam box in Quincy for size, but at least freshness here matches it.... Scallops were juicy and good, but appeared to be halved for the scallop clam plate. Portions could be better. Fries were great. Read more
Went and had lunch with the Boy's. This place never disappoints. Great lobster, steamers, fried cls and fried scallops. Eat... inside or outside doesn't matter get your hands in there and get messy. They have 2 sinks set up as a wash station to clean upwhich is nice. Read more
This is off season when I went but it has everything that generally does during season pretty much except for crowds. This is... an iconic place to stop with traditional favorites lobster included live choose your own. Location is easy to find with plentyof parking. The view is interesting with the Meadows and waterways. It was confusing where to actually order. And during seasonyou would order probably from the immediate entrance because they have Windows there but during the off season you have toactually go inside past that area past the cashier go up some stairs to another cashier that's where the live lobster tanks areand put your order in there they'll give you a number and they'll call out your number when it's ready. This is a classic placeto go. This is a must stop in my opinion. This is the way hospitality was meant to be in a faster pace. Easy picnic table to sitat. Plenty of room for large crowds. It?s fresh,... fast, and all the locals know it so it?s common to see a healthy sized line, but it moves fast. If you?re looking for a greatplace to get your seafood fix look no farther and go here. The portion sizes are also great. To order you walk up to the rightwindow outside the restarant, are given a ticket, and then hand in that ticket at the left window to pick up your food when yournumber is called over the loudspeaker (which you can hear both outside and inside). This place is the real deal. Family owned, no-frills, all-about-the-food kind of place! We were there in the off season, as soon... as they opened, so we walked right in and ordered, our food came out quickly, and we had no problem finding a seat. You can tellthat during the summer this place is a mad house. It's right on a beautiful cove so the view is lovely and you can sit outsideor inside, all tables are family style. Menu is really extensive (even if you have someone who doesn't like seafood) and fairlypriced for what you get. You can also get seafood, like lobster and clams, uncooked, to go. We got the lobster roll, haddocksandwich, clam strips, calamari, shrimp cocktail, and chowder. Every single thing was delicious! This place is an institutionand we were happy it lived up to the hype.
