Harpers is so great! Like drive across the state great! Me and my friends always make a trip out. It?s not that much to look at.... And you may think you?re lost a few times trying to get there, BUT it is SO WORTH IT! The people are nice and you can?t getcatfish this tasty anywhere else! They just have their own way of doing things and it works. The unlimited catfish is worth it,but they bring so much I never finish the first plate. Harper?s is one of those local famous spots in Kentucky that everyone in the area knows about. It?s not fancy, it?s just flat... out delicious catfish that?s not greasy whatsoever. The lightly breaded fish is cooked to perfection, homemade coleslaw iscreamy with a kick of pepper and baked potato?s are a must in my opinion. The inside and outside of the establishment doesn't look like much but don't be fooled. The catfish is the best I have ever had.... It's very light and flavorful and not a trace of greasiness. Whatever they batter it in is as light as air and has nogrittiness like cornmeal normally does. Mary was our server and she was awesome. I give her 5 stars for customer service and agreat attitude. If you're looking for amazing catfish, I would definitely recommend this place. If you're looking for even aslight degree of fanciness, you will not like this establishment. Can't speak highly enough about the food. The ladies restroomcould definitely use some attention. It is is literally falling apart and doesn't look like it's had a good cleaning in quite awhile. Overall, if you can overlook the esthetics, definitely worth a trip for some delicious catfish. Read more
