It was decent but the prices and the food just aren?t a match. On our way out my friend noticed that they had added gratuity to... our 5-top in an inconspicuous manner and not told us about it. Felt super slimy Read more

While we were at La Locanda closer to lunch time, the food we had, chicken parmigiana, was closer to dinner fare - and... absolutely delicious! The location is fantastic, right at the main intersection of the old village, so resuming our quest forlocal souvenirs after our meal was really easy. Our servers were very friendly and attentive, which allowed us to relax andrefuel, without having to wait a long time to settle our bill and continue our exploration of Scottsdale. Part of my reason forwriting this review is to let the staff at La Locanda know that their efforts are appreciated, even though they may never seethe bulk of their customers again (or at least for a very long time). Fond memories count! Think of yourselves as ambassadorsfor your establishment and for Scottsdale, which really impressed me as a town that knows how to promote itself to tourists.Let's just say that I wasn't thrilled to return to Canada's minus-something-awful-Celsius temperatures the next day, which meansa return visit to Scottsdale is definitely something on my radar! Food was good the Cajun chicken was spicy but not too spicy. The portions are just perfect. The only thing is they charge... gratuity on parties of 4 (four). No where on thier menu states this charge. And yes they can take it off, but they make you ~10mins to wait for owner approval and yes that is what the waiter said and yes we waited for 12 mins. Go again maybe not I'll justhead to Grimaldi's for some pizza. Read more

Rafael and Alex were excellent hosts. The food was absolutely amazing. All the pasta is homemade fresh. The desserts were... absolutely decadent. Great family setting kids adored it. Read more

A nice little Italian bistro with a decent ambiance, good wine selection, and nice menu. A lot of the dishes were... seafood/fish-based, which isn't my favorite, but I was able yo find something I enjoyed that had no fish/seafood. The portionswere not large by any means, but not overly small either. We went in fairly late (at least by AZ standards, where most eatdinner at 6pm), and the place was fairly empty. Considering the lack of patrons while we were dining, I felt the staff shouldhave been a tad more attentive. The place was small, so I was able to flag down a server anytime I needed something, but ourserver did not check in on us for the duration of our meal. Like most places in Scottsdale, I found the menu to be a tadoverpriced, but nothing crazy. Overall, a nice little spot for some decent Italian food. Read more

Delicious! We had the salmon toast to start, perfect with lemony arugula and capers. For the main course we had the scallop... risotto and carbonara. Scallops were cooked perfectly, served with creamy risotto. The carbonara had a nice roasted brusselsprout bacon flavor, the pasta was a perfect el dante. I chose this restaurant because they had carbonara on the menu, mostItalian places in the area only offered alfredo. Service was excellent, very attentive. Highly recommend! Read more

We went about 130 pm and got the lunch menu. Only a few customers there. The food was perfect. And if you want a perfect... tiramisu, La Locanda is unmatched! Clean establishment, good service, and the management took a few minutes to chat with us. Prices are quite reasonable and all you need to do is ask! I requested the chef special. They don't have one, so the chef puttogether a chicken Alfredo with a slight tang for perfect balance with again "the perfect Al dente"... In 50 years I have nothad the pleasure of that textural element, even in "high end" restaurants. Eat here. Period. Oh... The coffee? Lay downStarbucks. I'll come here just for that. If you fancy yourself a foodie, add this one to your list. The top of your list. AndI won't even go into the succulent dinner offerings. Enjoy! Read more
