Okay... why would ya pay 2 or 3x the price for the same or comparable experience. Because ya haven't been to or heard of... Houstons, that's why! Went 2x in a week... why, because the 2st experience was so good I just had to see if it could berepeated. This level of food AND service is unparalleled in the valley. Go ahead, order a martini..sup it and enjoy. Before yaknow it your server will swap out your martini glass with an ice cold one. Biggest and best double cut porkchop I've hadanywhere in the. Alley and we have been to every high end place. Seared ahi salad is one of the best presentations and amazinglarge chop salad to go with it.. not salsa like those other places. Did I mention absolutely the best priced surf or turfselection. I would out Houstons up against any of those Kireland Commons fancy steak house spots or any of the amazing viewelsuper expensive restaurants. Dinner or lunch for 2 with multiple drinks, appetizer and a desert... $150 or less easilydepending on you beverage choice and taste of course. I loved the food. It was a dark ambient atmosphere. Good for a date night or night out with friends. I don’t know about taking... your kids here. Their menu is limited but what they have is perfection. The Hawaiian Steak and baked potato were so tender andsoft it was the best. The steak had to have been marinated for like a week. I love artichoke and luckily it was back on the menufor our visit. The food came out in an acceptable time and we didn’t wait long. Make a reservation before you go. We willdefinitely go back. I must commend this restaurant for my recent visit on 3/16/22. They did almost EVERYTHING perfectly. The food was... outstanding! I tried the jumbo shrimp and it was JUMBO and worth every penny. I also had the chicken and sausage dish whichwas cooked perfectly, juicy (not dry), and had awesome flavor. My colleague had the French Dip sandwich and said it wasdelicious as well. Our waitress had a great smile and was very friendly. I noticed ALL the wait staff kept smiles as theywalked around the dining area. Trust me……it was noticeable. The only area for improvement I’ll mention is that thehostess was wiping down menu's when we walked up to be seated. Instead of finishing the menu she was working on and then takingus to a seat…..she kept wiping down at least 4 more menus making us stand there and wait. I feel we could had been seated andshe could’ve returned to her station and wipe down menus. Small thing, but it could be considered. I still rate this place 5stars…….they earned it. First time here and it was a good experience! We sat on the back deck near the fire while we waited for our table and got an app... and some drinks. We had a fantastic waiter and great food. On the table we had grilled chicken salad, chicken thighs andsausage, Hawaiian marinade rib eye, and the Scottish salmon. All of them were great! The pomme puree was so good and I was veryimpressed with the Hawaiian marinade. It wasn't too much but the subtle taste was perfect. We got the brownie and sundae fordessert, the ice cream and fudge was amazing, but the five but brownie was a little too nutty and somewhat dry. There were alsosome dried cherries hidden in the brownie and it kind of ruined it for me. Everything else was awesome. Read more
Food was good. Busy at lunch time. Not impressed with the bar or drinks. Very basic for the price. Limited lunch menu and on the... small side. Service was okay. Our water wasn’t refilled once in the almost 2 hours we were there. Burger was dry. The ppltaking orders were not masked and the people serving the food were. Read more
This was my first Houston’s experience and I really enjoyed it! The service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious,... an all-around fabulous dining experience. Due to the wait time (totally understandable for a Saturday night), we sat at the barand it was just as great service as if we were seated at a table. Highly recommend for a nice night out. Read more
After a grueling weekend went to Houston’s to unwind with my craving for a steak and good wine. Houston’s atmosphere is... always pleasant and intimate. Just what I was looking for. We started with the rosemary focaccia and marinated olives. A glassof Prisoner red and that was the start of a perfect meal. I ordered the prime center cut filet and my friend ordered the cedarplank roasted salmon. Both arrived without rushing. Our server was incredibly attentive and pleasant and non intrusive. Thesteak and salmon prepared perfectly. We didn’t stop there of course. We pressed on for dessert and ordered affogato vanillawith a side of chocolate and espresso.
