Reviews for Ghost Street Asian Taqueria in Scottsdale, AZ
Went here for Restaurant Week. Very good meal with Asian-influenced Mexican standards like street corn and tacos. Also,a sturdy... rye old fashioned with a presentation I really appreciated. Read more
Had an amazing meal! Ghost Street is inside Ling and Louie's so you can order from both menus which both look amazing. The... taquito dumplings were delicious and I loved the crispness. The elote was quite spicy but the flavors were great, just not ifyou don't enjoy spicy food. The shrimp tempura tacos were amazing as were the gochugang chicken tacos. Everything is very wellbalanced with sauces and textures. The real show stopper was the dessert! The banana churro bites are unbelievable. I'ddescribe them more as an egg roll but they are creamy and delicious with the filling and crisp and slightly crunchy in the outerlayer. The berries and caramel are wonderful compliments. Sherry was also a delightful server with great recommendations andeverything was well timed. Read more
I would lean towards 2.5 Stars if Yelp offered a half star option, however I'm feeling generous today. I've tried out Ling &... Louie's and Ling's Wok Shop and I've never really been impressed. However, the concept of Ghost Street is really unique so Ithought I would at least give it a try. I ordered Ghost Street on DoorDash, since it's technically only a "virtual" restaurant.I believe they offer the Ghost Street Menu for dine-in at the Ling & Louies "Shea" Location. The concept is Mexican and AsianFusion. The Food did take over an hour to come, when the estimate was 35 minutes. I understand that DoorDash sometimes takeslonger than usual, but the food was ice cold upon arrival. However, that could completely be a DoorDash problem. The First DishI ordered were the "Taquito Dumplings". I wasn't very impressed with them. They are similar to "crab puffs", with the wontonwrapper, but are filled with chicken and potatoes. For me, the dish didn't work. Instead of a Fusion of both cuisines, itseemed like the only Asian aspect was the wonton wrappers. There was a slaw on them that was too spicy, however the inside wasactually quite bland and the textures didn't mesh well. Once again, the concept is great however the execution was far fromthat. For the Entree, I got the Duck Carnitas Tacos. These were a huge step above the Dumplings. The Duck was cooked just likePork Carnitas and put on flour shells topped with slaw. The Duck was tender and had a wonderful smoky flavor to it. The texturewas just a little dry and I would have hoped for more of a sauce on them, however major points for originality. The Star of theShow, and the main reason I am giving 3 Stars is due to the amazing desert I tried- the Banana Churro Bites. Oh. My. Gosh. Iwould have to say that these were some of the best desserts I have had recently. There are 4 Churro Halves, with a delectablebanana cream cheese filling. They were delicious and everything paired perfectly- they were not too swee Read more
I?d order the duck tacos and the corn again. The gochujang chicken tacos and asada roll were good, but not great. I?d want to... try something else off this really creative menu. Read more
Food was decent, but the salty sauce that drenched the entire meal took away from the flavor of the food. Not sure I'll be back... after that Read more
I wish I could give this restaurant more stars! We were staying in a hotel down the street and ordered for delivery. The food... was fresh and phenomenal! I got one of the sushi rolls and the street corn, and my husband got chicken, tacos and wontons.Definitely adding this place to my favorites list when we're in town! Read more
