Dropped by with a few friends that said this place was good. I was rather surprised at the menu. It was so difficult to pick... just one thing so we all ordered several dishes. The food was really good. Had the Poke appetizer (spicy vs. Mild) to start things off. The spicy poke had a good heat to it... but not overbearing for me. Then the fish and chips were eaten afterwards. The fish was nice and firm with seasoning on it. Not your traditional crunchy batter... but it was fine with the firmness of the fish. Fries were good. Nothing was greasy. To me...I really liked the tartar sauce. The dill and relish amount in it was to my liking. The service isn't table side andthe atmosphere was casual. Got the fish and chips! The bomb! Not sure how the made this batter, but it came hot and fresh and I'm only half way through. ... If I didn't have to go cook somewhere else today I'd be getting a go order! Sam and Heidi took great care of me, and being inthe business I watch everything. This was my 2nd time here. I decided to try their fish and chips. It wasn't enough for me so then I decided on shrimp tacos.... Yummiliciousness. friendly service, food was out quickly, and as always, it was delicious. we've been coming to Coconut's for years now. their... great service and excellent food remain consistent. can't go wrong with the fish tacos and fish & chips. great place if you'relooking for a quick dinner before heading over to Harkins for a movie or take your time with your meal and a glass of wineoutside. they've added some more outdoor space since the last time we were there. The food was excellent. The customer service was great as well. I like when the staff can name their top 3 favorite meals (or... can stand behind their recommendations). The dish in the photo is the south of the border Mahi Mahi over rice. It was fresh andvery feeling. In fact I only ate half of my plate. The servings are big. My friend had the taco mountain with steak and theystated the steak was worth it. We are definitely going to come back. Also their fry basket is huge (sharable). Read more
We ate at Coconut?s Fish Cafe for the first time this past Friday and liked it so much, we went back on Saturday. The food is so... fresh, healthy and delicious. My husband does not eat fish, but he was able to find awesome chicken selections and they alsohave steak which we have not tried yet. The Mahi and Ono are awesome. Both nights we had the pleasure of seeing Kenadee. Shewas so kind and helpful and really made sure that we had a great experience. Thank you Kenadee. We will be back soon! Read more
