We started at Citizen Public House for happy hour a little before our dinner reservation and we were glad we did. They have a... good selection of drink specials and bites to eat, actually at happy hour deals. Our entrees were excellent. One of our favorite restaurants in the city. The food is reliably delicious. The chopped salad is a must, and even though it... might seem odd to order meatloaf at a nice restaurant it really is excellent. Also the cocktails are all very good. TheManhattan is awesome and the "barrel aged" cocktail section is all very tasty as well. Read more
Great dinner service at the bar. Definitely recommend the grouper. Nicely prepared with the purple rice topped with cucumber... salad. Also had the bread pudding for dessert. They also have a nice happy hour til 6pm which I ordered their house red wine andwarm roasted nuts. Read more
It was our 13th year anniversary and we decided to celebrate it at this beautiful place. It was a very good choice. I love the... food and people are very friendly. I want to give a special shout out to Sous Chef Juan Ramos. He took the time to step out ofhis busy kitchen, and came to our table to make sure we were enjoying our meal. After attending the Avon Gogh exhibit my friend and I decided to try this place out I’d heard some good things about the... venue and it was an easy walk over We were seated quickly and although on this particular night the venue gave a buzz of amixer I couldn’t help but note the romantic vibe of this venue. Each table housed real candles which may seem like it’s notmuch but dining by candlelight scientifically brings partners closer together as the way your eyes dilate creates lust Ok I’mdone nerding out but I love a good dinner by candlelight Our server was kind and enthusiastically took us through the menu Westarted off with popcorn topped with glazed bacon. Totally normal right I’ve never had a popcorn combo with bacon on it andI’m glad we trusted our server when she suggested it. The combination of the two was divine We ordered the buttermilk chickenand meatloaf. I actually favored the marbled meatloaf. The presentation reminded me of a steak and it became clear that myfriend and I liked this meal the most The drinks were strong and flavorful The atmosphere was relaxing and romantic All in allI would definitely suggest this venue Read more
Not my pick but went along with friends for early New Years dinner. Drinks are inventive...for better or worse. Chop salad was... great. Scallops were tasty but very very salty. Bread "pudding" was a joke. Just a slice of bread with some sauce. Really lamebut hopefully just that way for the New Year's special... which we all know is typically a rip off. Great server. Even thoughit's New Year's they should make an effort so they get new repeat customers. Read more
My husband and I loved this place! First time here last week, I liked the ambiance right away. Staffs wear masks, tables are... distanced, and they also have outdoor sitting. The Happy Hour is a total steal! HH Cocktails at most places are not good, butthey have many to choose from, including the barrel aged cocktails, we tried many different ones, and they are all good. HHwines are also not expected to be good, but I was surprised to find their Tempranillo is good! Sparkling rose is dry, andrefreshing, not the $10/bottle Prosecco. You got to get the Wings and the fondue from HH too! We shared the scallops after astuffed HH, the scallops were very well cooked. We enjoyed every single bite. A big shout out to our waiter Scotty. He is superfriendly, very knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. His suggestions were right on point. After a very satisfying mealon the first night, we decided to come back next day on Christmas Eve. We had a blast with our server, Gina, and anothersatisfying meal with lots of drinks without big bucks. It will be our go to restaurant next time we visit Scottsdale again forsure. Read more
Love it! Been a bunch of times for Happy Hour and dinner. Gets better and better. Sat at the bar with my other half and we both... had temparnillo. Delish. The bartender, Julian was great - personable, helpful, and perfectly chatty. With his suggestion wehad the chopped salad, chicken drumsticks and tuna tartar. Absolutely terrific. Scott, tossed our salad while chatting. Such agreat place with a very cool ambience. If in Old Town, definitely go. Read more
