I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere here. The decor is stunning! The sangrias might be my favorite! I've eaten here twice and the... food was a bit lackluster. My friends had the same opinion about their dishes as well. The chips and salsa were very goodthough. The live music was a nice touch! Perfect volume, not too loud so we could still have conversations. I'm going to comeback to this place again for sure, but just for drinks. Read more
Drove around Scottsdale just exploring to find a place to eat that we?ve never been to before. Saw the building for Bandolero... and decided to try it. They have new summer hours so they didn?t open until 3:00 (it was 2:50 when we parked, so we waited). Went in and got seated. We were the only ones in the restaurant. The waiter (Alex) was great. We ordered the guacamoleappetizer on his recommendation. Hubby ordered the tuna and I ordered the pork ribs on his recommendation. The food was reallygood. My pork ribs with the tamarind glaze were fabulous. Hubby said his tuna was tasty. We did not order dessert. Thisisn?t your typical Mexican restaurant that has burritos. Read more
Love the environment and vibe, including the island, Latin reggae music. The overall experience was great, but overpriced.... Friendly server but slow service, which translated to only mildly warm food by the time it was delivered. Enjoyed thepomegranates, grilled corn and pickled onions on the guacamole, yum! There were seven made fresh in-house dessert choices, whichis impressive! We enjoyed the tres Leches cake and apple tart with vanilla ice cream and were not disappointed. Read more
I had the scallop ceviche and the tuna with watermelon appetizer. They were excellent. I'll be back to try more of this... thoughtful, fresh menu. The front patio is nice and warm on a cold day with their heaters, too. Read more
What a great find in the area! I have been waiting months to try this place out and I?m so glad I did. Chips and salsa for the... table, the salsa is unique and really good. I?ve seen comments that their beans are bland however they tasted very traditionaland quality. Service was great, main dishes were great, and the atmosphere was perfect. The ambiance is extremely relaxing, and our server was extra kind and helpful. The wild berry and pomegranate margaritas were... made just right, and the guacamole is excellent. The presentation of the entrées was beautiful. I ordered the chicken flautas,which were good, but the chicken was a little dry. The rice and beans were yummy. I would definitely try this spot again.
