Just went here for my birthday and it was fantastic! It was my first time here and Juan made the whole experience great for my... family and I. We got the queso flameado, birria tacos (exquisite!!), the molé chicken, and the braised pork, and then therumchata tres leches (not pictured). You can tell all the ingredients were fresh and every bite unfolded new complex flavors.Will DEFINITELY be coming back. Happy hour menu looks amazing and am excited to try that next! Read more
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Alma while visiting Scottsdale. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing and such a... cool vibe. Beautiful tile floors, a wall of candles, cactus plants everywhere and cool music. The service was great, even beinga bit understaffed. Our server was hustling, but never made us feel rushed or forgotten. The hostess also graciously took afamily photo for us and checked in on us often, even bringing our drinks. The food was to die for! We started with the queso dipand shrimp ceviche and had the cod tacos and birria quesadillas for dinner. Everything was delicious. Don?t forget the cinnamondonut holes for dessert! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice family meal, a date night, or just drinks withfriends. Read more
What ambiance!!! Beautiful inside and outside. Tables felt like cheap backyard patio furniture but the setting makes up for it.... The food is really good. Servers were friendly and maybe a bit absent minded and would walk away mid table placing orders. Wehad appetizers, dinner, dessert and drinks. We had a group of 7 and the cost was around $100/person. Lobster quesadilla was myabsolute favorite. Also tried the BIRRIA CONSOMME. I could have passed on dessert as it was just ok. Outstanding food, creative desserts and interesting cocktails. The service is top shelf. I tried 3 types of tacos, all... excellent. Fried cod, barbacoa and Al pastor. Also the sauces are very flavorful and they sometimes have a secret habanero saucethat is bright and very very spicy. Also tried banana nachos and was pretty much blown away. Read more
The food is as good as the atmosphere and the people. Started with a good greeting by the hostess. Who was quick and cheerful... with helping us. To the bartender and the staff. The Christmas tamales were great I have never had tamales that good. The drinks were unique and very flavorful. The chips and... salsa is not complimentary and it is very small salsas. The guacamole is pretty small too but really creamy and delightful. Iliked the corn on the cob too. Read more
Love this place and will be back for sure. Great happy hour, but also amazing vibes and, well, everything. Try this place... out. They have extremely good cocktails, a great variety of beer. The views, the food, drinks and everything including parkingwas great. Plenty of options here. Try em out. Eric was a bomb server, will honestly try to sit in his section again. The decor of this place is great. It?s a super cool atmosphere and I loved the table setups. You feel like you are in someone?s... nice home. Decor was a 5/5. Food was good but not amazing. The blackened mahi was very good, the scallops were ok. Thedrinks were either too sweet or too bitter. My wife got the $24 platinum margarita. It was bitter and not very strong. Theservice was also very slow. We ordered our second round of drinks when dinner was served and we didn?t get them until after wewere done. It took them about 15 minutes to clear our empty plates as well. Overall decent food but probably would not goback due to the slow service and cocktails that missed the mark. Read more
