Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician is delightful. It creates a sense of inner peace. Everything was spectacular and treats were... delectable. The atmosphere is charming and there was a pianist. Service was attentive and professional. It is worth goingbut they need warn people about the service charge. This came as a surprise especially considering I was a party of one. Iasked upfront about the total cost and wasn't told about fee. Still recommend. Four stars because of the unexpected fee. Nowyou know. Read more

1st class experience with service and the delightful finger foods. Being from English decent I drank tea daily growing up & the... tea list is extensive along with the food portions that were very satisfying. We left with a box of left overs we snacked onfor 2 days. I suggest you follow English tradition and dress up to be Nines to fully enjoy the experience. Oh Yes- there were afew people who showed up in their Toyota Priuses to just have tea in shorts and t-shirts but they looked like clowns and I couldsee they were very uncomfortable being dressed out of place. We were staying at the resort for 3 days so doing this one eveningis a smart idea if you have time and a desire to experience a cultural tradition that is lost in our current, lazy, get itquickly at the drive through window generation. Special shout out to Lillie the maitre d of the Tea room. She made ourexperience memorable and we shall return again. Also the pianist, Alan is a very gifted man who plays off ear and can playanything requested. Read more

What a delightful and unique experience! All of the food was absolutely delicious. Each little finger sandwich was impeccably... seasoned. The scones were perfection with the devonshire cream and fruit. I have to say the lemon curd was the best I have everhas...not to tart, light, and delicious. The pastries were a wide variety of flavors and perfectly delectable. The tea wasfragrant and everything I was looking forward to. Service amplified the experience and absolutely took it to the next level.Wanda, Natalie, Lillie, and Oscar were all friendly and committed to providing an amazing guest experience. I will definitely bedoing this again! Read more

My sister and I decided to take our mom to afternoon tea for her birthday and she absolutely loved it! It was a great experience... and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere was spectacular and the pianist nearby really added the extra kick of zazz andrelaxation. The food was yummy and the tea was delicious! Ask for Wanda and Natalie. Those two ladies were so kind, friendlyand we had a great time with them. They worked their butts off and were on top of everything! By the end of it, we were justwanting them to sit down and join us. Coming from little tea parties with our mom as little girls to an actual tea time asadults is something we will cherish forever. It was no cheesey tea party, it was classy, elegant and a wonderful time. Aftersending my husband photos he wants wants to give it a whirl too. ???? We loved it and will be back again! Read more

My husband and I regularly do afternoon tea, most often when we're traveling, and typically have an excellent time. Every place... is a little different, especially when it comes to gluten free options, but each experience is still pretty darn impressive. Notso much in this case, unfortunately. We decided to try afternoon tea at The Phoenician since we live in AZ and have heard goodthings. The service was very hit and miss. The tea options were fine, but the most highly recommended tea is weird...it's aberry tea, but it doesn't taste or smell or even look like a berry tea. Very odd. The gluten free scones are quite good and thelittle sandwiches are as well. The pastries/desserts were the biggest let down. Instead of getting gluten freepastries/desserts, you get one coffee flavored thing (that looks like it was made somewhere else and defrosted) and that's it.For a place as nice as The Phoenician, you would expect something a little more impressive. Especially since every single othertea time I've been to, wether in the states or even in other countries, offers gluten free versions of the pastries/sweets sothat you have an equal experience to other diners. This was by no means an equal experience. We will not be returning to thislocation for afternoon tea. The Biltmore and the English Rose Tearoom both have far better service, tea options, and gluten freeoptions. Read more

One of the best afternoon tea experiences in the US. They particularly stand out for their unlimited selection in both champagne... and food items. The hotel is of course amazing and the patio overlooking the pool area is nice. Their service is also top notch Read more
