My steak was so tough I could not eat it! Baked potato was good. Don't think I will go back.

Walked in and saw the place was busy. Good sign for a long existing restaurant. The person who took my order was nice and... carried on a great conversation and made some good recommendations. Ordered, found a seat, my number was called and I got myfood. Portion was huge. Got a steak and shrimp meal with a loaded baked potato. My wife had a chicken fried steak with a bakedpotato. Steak was thin since it came with shrimp. Cooked perfect med rare. If you want a bigger steak then don't order with theshrimp. Chicken fried was fresh and hand pounded. Price was a bit much but worth it for a dinner for two. I give a 4 star onlybecause of decor. Little outdated. Booths are small too. Will eat again. Read more
Food was served luke warm. A1 sauce is watered down. Medium rare is medium. Food was editable but not enjoyable. Way over priced... for what you get. Go to Perkins. You will thank me. Read more
We weren't really impressed with this restaurant. Four of us ordered the steak and shrimp meal. They were out of baked potatoes.... We waited for a considerable amount of time before our number was called. Every one of our steaks was ordered medium and everyone came back well done. While it had a good flavor, the steak was really dry and tough. While a little disappointing, I'm goingto give them the benefit of the doubt that they are just having a bad night. This place has been pretty much the same since I was a kid. Which is nice in some ways. Food is almost always great. Options are... pretty standard. Home cut fries are awesome. Also Country Fried Steak is huge! Usually plenty of seating. Service is a bitdifferent as you use a tray and get drinks at the start of the line. Then pick up your food from the heat lamps when they callyour number. There is a back "fine" dining area for larger parties or events. Also you can get an ice cream cone from a selfservice machine which costs one quarter per cone. Though they only have vanilla now. Parking is decent but can fill up quickly. Read more
