Food was disappointing, but deserts we're to die for. Cheesecake was fabulous and the "hot fudge cake" was a really tasty... brownie with hot fudge and ice cream. Read more

So idk where to start. I am new to this area, and we have been trying different places to eat out. I honestly have to say that... the food places around me now are very bland and not at all seasoned well. It's not bad just not something I want to come backfor more of, I always heard that southern cooking was great but now that I'm in the south I have found its not so great, evenbiscuits and gravy are bland. It feels like no restaurants here know how to season their food. Read more

My husband and I have been in a quest to support local family owned restaurants and stop eating at the large chain restaurants... in Jackson. We have been searching out different places to try each week within an hour of our home. Tonight we decided to tryout Cafe Magnolia in Scotts Hill and we were not disappointed. I was a little hesitant when we pulled up to the small cafe onthe corner at the 4-way stop but when we walked in we found the place to be clean and had a homey atmosphere. I was impressedwith the diverse menu options and the friendly customer service. I ordered the lasagna after reading reviews mentioning howgreat it was. It came out piping hot and was delicious. My husband ordered the shrimp fettuccine alfredo and it was good aswell. The meals were served with warm rolls and a salad. Although everything was delicious, the best part of the meal wasdefinitely the dessert. We had the caramel coffee brownie cheesecake and it put the Cheesecake Factory to shame. It was probablythe best cheesecake I have ever put in my mouth. No matter how full you get, get a to go box for your meal and have dessert. Ipromise you won?t regret it. Our sever was sweet and attentive and even put our order ahead of a large group that orderedbefore us. Everyone in the cafe was friendly, workers and customers. We will definitely be back! Read more

Wonderful dining experience! The Cafe is clean and comfortable, even on a hot day. Soup of the day was potato and I was... pleased with the presentation and taste. Their Cafe Magnolia salad was delicious with nice chunks of chicken. Also had a sliceof pecan pie and coffee. The crust as well as the filling were superb! Looking forward to my next visit.???? We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Cafe' Magnolia this evening. The owners, Amanda and Jeremy, were very welcoming, and the staff... was prompt and attentive, especially our server, Eli. I had the half order of the lasagna (which is only available on Fridaysand Saturdays), and I believe that it was the best lasagne I've ever had. The pasta was perfectly cooked (and not overcooked),the sauce and meat were both flavorful, and there was a just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Everything worked welltogether in every bite. I really enjoyed it! My wife and I shared the white chocolate mocha cheesecake for dessert, and it wasamazing. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, white chocolate, raspberry in a smooth cheesecake all worked very well together. Amandamakes the desserts from scratch, and they are wonderful. Treat yourself to Cafe Magnolia - you won't be disappointed! Read more
