Recently moved to the area from Katy and decided to try this beautiful place. It was *chefs kiss* Absolutely loved the... atmosphere and the food was incredible. The bacon wrapped chicken bites with that glaze...WOW!!! The sweet potatoes on myhusbands plate didn't last long because I personally devoured them. Never had such incredible sweet potatoes and now I mustfigure out how to recreate such delectable flavor. Even the guests surrounding us could tell I was in heaven. Definitely comingback! I've been needing a place just like this for date nights or family lunch. My husband said he was too full for dessert butsomehow that bread pudding sucked us both in and it did not disappoint. Pretty sure we will become regulars here! The staff wasso sweet. 100/10 recommend Read more

Very good!! The service was great, atmosphere was relaxing and the food Very yummy! After starting my day in Lockhart wanting... to taste their barbecue, I needed something light, but also uniquely delicious traveling home to Houston. This veggie pizza withpesto sauce was exactly what I needed! Leftovers are on my fridge to enjoy later.... I will definitely be back. I'm wanting totry the Burger next. Read more

The location and building was lovely. The service was very indifferent - not overly friendly but not rude either. It seemed... like the kind of place where the service should reflect small town charm and should be really warm and welcoming, but it wasn?t. Out of everything we ordered, the brussel sprouts were the best. They were fantastic. The margarita pizzas were pretty good, the grilled cheese was tasty (however with the number of cheeses I did expect there would be a thicker and more gooey amount ofcheese like some other gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches we?ve had though), and the chicken fried steak sandwich was also ok. We wouldn?t hurry back, but might stop again sometime to try something else. Read more

You're going to be hard pressed to find an eatery within 100 miles as good as this. The service was fantastic, atmosphere is... rustic and unique and the food is fantastic (and reasonable priced). My shrimp lime salad was so delicious I can't wait to beback in town to have it again. Well done!!!!! Read more

Had lunch today, which was our second visit. First time was back in 2018 when we were out on a day trip looking at the local... painted churches. Both visits were outstanding, and the high review ratings are well-earned. Yes, the Brussel sproutsappetizer is totally worth it, even if you don't think you like such a thing. I had the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with anoutstanding chutney and Dijon mustard to go with it. My wife had the fish tacos, which were awesome and extremely filling. TheMexican street fries that came with them had an awesome spice mix on them. Last quality test: The ice tea. In our experience, you can often tell whether a place is going to be good just based on its tea. This cafe has outstanding, strong ice tea. Bonus! Cool venue, excellent food, and great service across the board. Highly recommended. Read more

Stopped here on the way to San Antonio for work. Very charming restaurant with a good selection of food. I opted for the pizza... and it was pretty tasty. The interior is so cute and you can even shop in the garden outside. I gave this place 4 stars becausethe staff was not friendly. No one ever came to my table to see if the food was okay or if I ever needed a refill (and my cupwas empty). It wasn?t until I asked for a check they asked if I wanted a refill. But I would give them another try! Might havejust been an off day for the crew? Read more

What a treat! We were enjoying a relaxing hill country drive in the La Grange area, and while visiting Schulenburg, Tx ?The... Burg?, we stopped in for dinner at The Garden Co. and we were surprised and impressed to receive a fresh garden salad, lambburgers, and more. The service is A+ and we highly recommend if you?re driving from Austin to Houston and want to check out asmall Texas town for some true Texas hospitality! Read more
