This place is incredible!! The staff are so Friendly, accommodating & knowledgeable of all the drinks & entire menu. You can... really tell that the owners knew what they were doing when they created this hot spot on Schenectady?s desirable state street.We ordered every appetizer, every single thing melted in your mouth. The whipped ricotta was my favorite!! Everyone?s drinks &dinners came out in perfect timing. We were drooling at each others dinner selection. This place is 100/10. Absolutelywonderful. Read more
We absolutely loved everything about our experience at The Nest! We ordered the salmon and halibut entrees and shared some... biscuits with honey butter, burnt end pork belly, and fried green tomatoes. Each dish was beautifully made and tasted delicious.I would honestly say the same for the cocktails, having thoroughly enjoyed my Old Square. We went for a late lunch on a quiet Thursday afternoon. Everyone was friendly, the service was quick, and our group enjoyed... every bite of food we had. This is one of the best meals I?ve ever had! I got a short rib sandwich with egg, cheese, and truffle, potatoes on the side, and... a hazelnut iced coffee with oat milk. Food is outstanding, and I will be back to tour my way through the rest of the menu. Bar is well thought out, with cocktails as... complex as the food, and they have non alcoholic options. Tom is an amazing bartender! He made a special blood orange basedmocktail for me that was almost too pretty to drink (but too tasty not to). The grits tots were a favorite and a surprising takeon one of my favorite comfort foods. Fried green tomatoes were delicious. Really cute spot for a date. Read more
This restaurant has it right from top to bottom. First the atmosphere is really comfortable, wood, steel, a bar, and upstairs... area, it looks fresh and we'll kept. The hostess station is staffed with a smart courteous team. they seated us quickly. Wearrived early for brunch right at 10:30 when they opened on Saturday, so that helped. The menu is carefully thought out with asavory balance of savory items and sweet. The deviled eggs are wonderful. I had the "dad" the biscuits are delicious andcertainly made fresh. The piece of chicken was massive and cooked perfectly, with a crisp breading. Even the iced tea wasgreat. Absolutely recommend to anyone. All the food was incredible and service was top notch. It is pricey but portions and quality are... there for the price point. Appetizers of tots and pork belly were perfect. I had chicken and waffles which I?m never a fan of,at the recommendation of my friend, and so glad I did. The meal was incredible and the butter and sauces just amazing! Myfriends shrimp looked great and she loved her meal as well. Read more
Food was good. The chicken and waffle was great and the ambiance was nice, too. The reason why I docked 2 stars is for terrible... customer service. Our server was very passive aggressive and the "thank you"s were condescending and not sincere. Later anotherlady came to collect the plates and treated us as if we overextended our stay - which we were only at about less than 30 minutessince the food was out. The younger generation servers seemed kinder but the older ladies just had a terrible tude. Read more
