The food is not bad at all, but the position size and cost is way off. Our $16 order literally had 5 pieces of kabab, picture... included. If the serving size, rice to meat ratio, and cost weren't so bad the score for the actual taste of the food is prettygood. Read more
Ali baba kabab is a Persian Mediterranean restaurant located in a strip mall directly behind a lighting store and kitty corner... to a Taco Bell. There?s plenty of parking out front. You order your food at the counter and then sit down and they bring it outto your table. All meat prepared is halal. Good quality, fresh, hot and delicious. Our food came out quickly and we started withfalafel then worked our way to the lamb shank platter and the combo chicken kabob and beef sharwma platter. The generous lambshank meat fell off the bone and melted in our mouths! The seasoned basmati rice was both aromatic and tasted exotic! It wasserved with a refreshing salad that was a nice mix in between bites of meat. The chicken kabab and sharwma platter was very goodserved with 2 sauces; 1 hot and 1 creamy garlic. Best Mediterranean Restaurant, We did plan a family event at Ali Baba Kabab-Schaumburg and it?s was wonderful, fresh hot... falafel, with there best Mediterranean beef and chicken sharwama that came along with crispy fries with tasteful seasoning onit. And then came the Big Family platter with all meats in it and the best part was they split the big platter into two half?sfor guest to have it easy. We used the there space to have some family speech which went some long but they were verycomfortable staff to have us there and enjoy our event and great follow up on order served. We went to Ali baba for a birthday celebration and the food and ambience was not what we expected after reading the reviews... online. We were expecting a nice sit down place where the server would take our order. The staff was nice overall but we got theimpression it was a bit of a hassle for them to serve us. I ordered the mixed grill platter and the meat was above average butI wasn?t very impressed. We ordered 6 piece of falafel and they were a bit over cooked. My wife ordered the Tahina salad and shefelt the salad was average. Overall, we all agreed that pita house is still tops in the area for Mediterranean food. Read more

Chicken Faham wrap was probably the best thing we had. Also, the kabob style meat from the mixed grill was excellent and much... better than the shawarma style meat. Whether you're getting a plate or the wrap, either get the Faham or the Kabob. Mandi lambwas good too but I think next time I'm going for a couple wraps instead. Also, they give you garlic sauce in a squeeze bottle ifyou dine in! Read more
Excellent Lamb Shank and chicken Mandi! The lamb is soo tender and flavourful and is accompanied by broth in a bowl and a... generous quantity of rice with onions. The service is quick and the staff is really nice! The place has been newly renovated andhave plenty of space. Read more
Clean, simple, unassuming and absolutely delicious food! I have nothing to compare it with but I know food and theirs is really... good. We had the baba ganush for starters. It was very seasoned well, citrusy, creamy and just a delight. Paired with their flatbread, it was the perfect start to a great dinner. My husband had the Lamb Mandhi and the meat was falling off its bone. Its wasseasoned very well but the garlic sauce elecated that dish even more. I couldnt decide what i wanted so i got the mixed platteron basmati rice. It came with pork kabob, grilled chicken and beef. I also paired it with the garlic sauce and that was justbeautiful! Unlike other mediterranean dishes weve tried, theirs was not overwhelmed in spice. They were able to very subtlymarry their spices with their meats. They offered us hot sauce separately and i thought that was very considerate. We ended themeal with slices of baklava and some indian tea with milk. This was a great dinner and we will come back to try their otherdishes! 5 star! Read more
