Disastrous Visit to PitaPit on 4th January - Unacceptable Lack of Halal Compliance, Non-Delivery, and Denied Refund Rating: ?... (1 star) My visit to PitaPit at 1975 Kennedy Rd, Scarborough, ON on Thursday, 4th January, was nothing short of a regrettableexperience that demands attention. Upon ordering a shawarma and inquiring about the halal status of the chicken, I wasastonished to discover that the restaurant lacked a separate grill for halal items. This blatant non-compliance with halalstandards raised serious concerns about the overall food preparation process. Seeking a resolution, I requested a refund dueto the failure to meet halal requirements. Shockingly, my request was met with a flat-out refusal from the staff. To exacerbatethe situation, the food was never delivered due to the compliance issue. In response to this unacceptable situation, Ipromptly reached out to PitaPit customer care, who advised me to send the receipt for a potential refund. Despite adhering totheir instructions, there has been no response from PitaPit customer care as of the date of this review. Frustrated anddetermined to find a resolution, I called the store on 8th January to speak directly to the owner. Unfortunately, my effortswere met with extreme rudeness, and the owner intentionally disconnected the call. Subsequent attempts to reconnect were futile,leaving the issue unresolved. My visit to PitaPit on 4th January was marked by a lack of halal compliance, non-delivery ofthe ordered food, and shockingly poor customer service. I strongly caution potential patrons, especially those with specificdietary requirements, to steer clear of this restaurant. Key Points: Lack of a separate grill for halal preparationobserved on 4th January. Refusal to provide a refund despite the non-compliance with halal standards and non-delivery of thefood. Unresponsive customer care, leaving the issue unresolved as of the date of this review. Rude behavior and intentionaldisconnection from the store owner during a direct call on 8th January.
