We had the Haddock Sunday special last week and it was very good. Large portions, the fish was crispy and fries were cooked... well. Last year we had a bad experience with the Cod special, the fish was terrible, but I think ownership has changed sincethen. First time visitor, but long time area resident. The fish and chip restaurant near us had closed a while back and we were... looking for a new place. We had tried a couple in our area but Halibut House will be our new go-to fish and chip restaurant! Wewere immediately greeted when we entered and had our take out ready in about 7 minutes. Well kept inside and very clean. Brightinterior with an attractive decor. Halibut was a generous portion and cooked perfectly with plenty of chips that were supertasty!! But I've notice for... portion sizes they do vary .I find the one in Port Perry and Markham road and Kingston road give really good portions.
