Think of it as a Filipino-style 'Cora's' or 'Sunset Grill'. Family-run and homey food place on Birchmount south of Ellesmere.... Simple eating area for about 50 people serving breakfast items and other Filipino favourites like Pancit Luglog. Lunch itemslike Pancit luglog and sinigang are served starting at 1030am. Chef George used to be a chef at the prestigious Manila Hotel. Ifound the Beef Tapa a bit tough. The longsilog was good. Service was friendly and efficient. Good place for Filipino comfortfood. First time visit on a Saturday morning, it was busy with a couple of large groups. But despite the packed place, service was on... point. This is a great little place for breakfast. I had the chicken adobo breakfast and it was very tasty. Comes with no toast which I... did not need anyway. The bed of rice was light and filling. The chicken was flavourful with a little sweet heat to it. It camewith a small amount of tomato onion mixture which added a little cold to the plate which was nice. The fruit skewer was freshand much better than the dried out orange slice you get at other breakfast places. If you?re looking for a more traditionalCanadian breakfast they have a few options for that as well. But try one of the other options because they are good.
