Reviews for Cafe De Paan in Scarborough, ON
Nice place to experience Chaat food. Falooda is amazing but the large size is really filling. Grilled Chicken bun kabob was... amazing. You can also get paan if you are into that. They make fresh paan. Chocolate milkshake is amazing here. This place isopen till 2 AM - which is amazing if you want to grab any late night snacks or drinks. Read more
We had a quick stop at Cafe De Paan. We had Mango and Pista falood with some freshly made Sweet Calcutta Paan. Falloda wasn?t... bad but The paan were fresh and tasted so good that we also got a few for our friend who were at home. Next time would like totry other Paan as well. Read more
We went for a tea and we landed into this place. The guy in the photos is the heart of the shop. He?s very confident and... energetic lives to Interac with customers and promotes his menu. We ordered a mango milk shake, Lemon soda and masala chai. Imust say the mango milkshake was top notch. I had more than 50 types of mango lassi/milkshake, every type of it has a taste ofmango pulp. It felt always unnatural but this was entirely different you would feel the real mango shake right from the marketstraight to the glass. He also suggested his special grill sandwich, we had kept it for another time, but I believe it would begood enough. I think it?s a must try place and do share your experience. Thanks!! Read more

I was highly disappointed with the food. I ordered bhelpuri and chicken burger. They added channa in the bhelpuri, I don?t know... why they did that. It tasted horrible. If you were craving gerrad street delicious chicken burger and thinking to order fromhere instead, please don?t. It felt like I was eating aloo and there was absolutely no chutney or sauce in it. Completely dry. Read more
We ordered faluda, kashmiri cha, and two types of chaat-bhelpuri. Faluda was good, bhelpuri didnt like much in taste wise, cha... was pink in color but there were too much ingredients in the tea which creates botheration while having it. The interior of thecafe is interesting. Read more
Worth the visit!!! The food was pretty good, the atmosphere a fun chill vibe. But the service is definitely slow. It took about... 25 minutes to make chai, and then when we said we had a large, it took another 15 minutes to get that large chai. The rest ofthe group had finished their chai when the one large came out. The chaat was ok, a bit too much chutney, which is something Inever say. I didn't even think it would be possible to put too much chutney! But the taste was still good. A few people in thereviews didn't like the chick peas in bhel puri, but this is authentic pakistani street food. I don't enjoy Indian bhel puribecause it only has onions. You have to remember that everyone will like the ingredients they grew up with. The taste of thechaat is great though. The bun kebab was good, I enjoyed the taste and fillings, although a bit too much egg for my personaltaste. My brother in law didn't like the onions but loved the egg (not separate egg but what the kebab was coated in). Again, personal preference. The falooda was great! They use flatter noodles than normal and I think the texture is much better. Paanis ok. I had a Calcutta Meetha Paan but it had way too much kattha in it. Made my whole mouth taste bitter. Other than that itwas good and big in size. All in all, this place is still worth the wait and slow service. In spite of all of the things Imentioned, it's still one of the best street food places around. The cost feels high but when you look at cost of ingredientsit also makes sense. Read more
