This place was a huge disappointment. For $47.90 for just 2 people I was hoping to leave full. I had the fish 'n chips and my... husband had the "crumb" battered shrimp with fries and a side order of onion rings. The onion rings were gross and so thinlysliced that it was more batter than onion. Everything left a weird coating in my mouth. It was just a bunch of tastelessbattered mediocre seafood. I seriously have had better from the chain restaurant 'captian D's' down home in Ohio. Therestaurant had a beautiful view though. Read more

Excellent food at fair price. Best fisherman's platter in Maine. Fish was good. Clams (in batter) were excellent, Scallops... were large & tasty and lots of shrimp. Food enough for 2 hearty, hungry adults. Kids loved the French fries. Supper lastThursday and plan again for tonight, Monday! Read more

This was a great experience! We got a lobster dinner and a shrimp roll. Both were amazing! The home made tater sauce was also... amazing! They were very friendly, had great customer service, got our food very quickly, and piping hot!! We sat out back by thewindow. Great view! Got to see a crane eating its lunch as well. Will be back and will recommend to everyone I can! Read more

I genuinely have no idea where to start. Ordered the combo fried platter (Shrimp+Haddock) and when I tell you that the fries... were the best part, you should be worried. The fried Shrimp were borderline okay at best. They had a mostly crunchy outside anda soft-medium firm texture. The haddock was so unbelievably awful with no tatse and the most flimsiest "Fried" anything thatI've ever had. I initially wanted double fried shrimp but apparently the kitchen is "Unable" to do so as it confuses them. Amember of my party ordered the baked scallops and they tasted so chewy and gamey that they had to be refunded. The Lobster stew(I was informed it was more milky than creamy beforehand) had very little lobster as well as a more water base than milky. If itwasn't bad enough the bread was stale as all can be. I recommend going ANYWHERE else in the area. Read more

Classic New England Fish fry!! Lobster roll was exquisite!!! Quite expensive though?$28 for one. Big menu, and quite... diverse! Suggest getting the clams in the crispy batter. Fried mushrooms are really just button mushrooms fried. Chowder isthin if that?s what you?re into. Flavour was ok, i?ve definitely had better. I suggest getting a salad to cut all the oil fromthe fried foods. Lots of sauce options which is fun! Their Cocktail sauce was really good. Service wasn?t the quickest, butthey have speakers all throughout the seating area so you can sit while waiting for your food! Read more

Seafood is ok and this location gets extremely busy. The fried food was cold when I picked it up. They should use fresh fries... not frozen if they plan on having such high prices on food. Read more

As a resident of Old Orchard, my wife and I have made Clambake Restaurant in Scarborough, Me. our go to place when craving for... seafood. The prices are a little high as expected, since it is located in a resort town. Having said that, the quality oftheir food is bar none. Unlike some other places we have been to, the food is not greasy. By that, I mean, that you willnot find a pool of grease at the bottom of your plate. I should point out that for the price, you do get a "generous" portionof food. The atmosphere is great and the staff are really friendly. Keep in mind that you might run into long lines, especially on weekends, but it goes fast, especially when people already know what to order before hand. As far as parkinggoes, don't worry, they have a huge parking lot. As far as our favorite on the menu, we like to go with the Fisherman's PlateDinner. For $31.95, you get 1.5 lbs of food which includes: Shrimp, Haddock, Clam Strips, Scallops, Whole Bellied Clams,Fries, roll and Cole slaw. Please be warned that this is a BIG portion. It's good for at least 2 and maybe even three people. So, if you are in the area on vacation or even just a day trip, and looking for some good seafood, this is the place to go. Ihighly recommend it!!! ???????? Read more
