Celebrated our birthdays here with friends, a party of 10. Food was delicious, service was great. A little gem we found locally.... Prices are phenomenal for the steaks which includes starch, vegetables, and choice of Caesar or regular salad. Beats othersteakhouses that charge higher prices. Wow!!! Where to start? The ambience was so charming with local artists dotting the walls. The service was warm and friendly. The... wine was excellent. First and foremost this is one of the best steakhouse restaurants I have been to. Second I have been to this steakhouse several... times and have always had a very nice experience. I do wish they had outdoor seating so I can come more often when the cases gethigh in the area, but that would be my one and only critique. When we come we typically sit at the bar, generally there are only2 of us so no need to take up a table. I have tried several of their dishes, my favorite being the Filet Mignon steak. I lovethe char they have on the outside and the 5 times I've had this steak the temperature has always been on point (I amparticularly picky about my steak temp). It is rare to find consistency and I have always found it here. The NY Strip was verywell cooked and full of flavor as well. Most of the side dishes I have enjoyed and their salads are always nice and fresh. Onmy last visit we brought my parents who were visiting from out of town. My mother being particularly picky and wants thingsexactly how she expects them. This was actually the first time we didn't sit at the bar. The food was spot on as usual, mymother was so pleased and happy she kept talking about the food the whole visit. Her lobster was great, the scallops were cookedto perfection, she loved her drink as well. It isn't just about the food either, the drinks are quite nice as well. The staffhas always been polite and accommodating. I've seen some complaints about prices but I'll be honest the cost is prettyreasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food. We went for our first visit after hearing such great things about, what a disappointment. Ordered the stuffed portobello... mushroom, it was cold and tasted/smelled like crabmeat was soured/spoiled. Had to go wash the smell/stench off my lips andfingers. Salad was very good. Then came the entrées…server delivered to wrong table, went and checked the kitchen and cameback minutes later and switched plates from that table to ours and swore those customers didn’t touch anything. We complainedthat wasn’t ok and server said she could assure us they didn’t touch. We requested new plates (anyone who knows my husbandknows he doesn’t send anything back for fear it will get spit in). Server and that table were discussing how we didn’t haveto make a big deal. Y’all have heard of cross contamination and we ARE in the midst of a pandemic and y’all did reach overthe plate to get your dirty martini and germ particles did cross over the plate. Anyways, once the new plates were brought backthe lobster tails were dried out, definitely not butter poached and juicy. Steaks were burnt and not serve to medium temperaturebut a charred shoe leather. We waited over an hour and 15 minutes to speak to the manager and his explanation was only that theyhad gotten bad news before the dinner rush. Then sir, you would’ve served us all better had you NOT opened. Yours and yourstaffs lack of customer service in trying to better our experience was deplorable! Don’t be scared looking at it from the outside, walk through the doors and enjoy a delicious meal… The steaks were seasoned... and cooked perfectly, the scallop appetizer was something you can dream of. Excellent food and service! The steakhouse is a great place for a nice dining experience. We started with a glass of delicious... wine, which we chose from a wide selection of offerings. My husband ordered the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and wasextremely tender and flavorful. My salmon bernaise was delicious, also. The salad was fresh with excellent dressings.
