My wife wanted me to try Rocky’s New York Deli, but, unfortunately they were closed. In the same plaza was the 5 Spot so we... decided to give it a try. Great atmosphere and service. The food was fantastic. Probably the best fried pickles I’ve everhad. Not greasy and very crispy (spears). The Bacon and Collard dip with pitas or tortilla chips was delicious! For mains we hadthe Shrimp and Grits (fantastic) and the Chicken Avocado Wrap (yummy). For dessert we shared the lemon blueberry cake(tasty). Highly recommended! Read more
I love this 5 Spot location much better than midtown. It’s roomy and quieter. Our group enjoyed lunch there this week and I... have to say our server, Jason, was the best part it! He’s friendly, funny and really works to make your dining experiencememorable. The food is good but I wish I had ordered my usual Buddha bowl instead of the meh salad I got. Jason was the best and IS the best waiter! We take our new hires here each time for their first day and he takes care of us,... makes great suggestions, and is very attentive. As for the food, it’s very good and has a lot of options. It’s a bit priceyfor what you get but love the options. It’s great for a picky group! Read more
I was glad The 5 Spot opened up in Sandfly, I had been wanting to check them out. I had The Cuban. Pulled pork, ham, swiss,... pickles mustard on a pressed hoagie. I asked for no mustard, which they got right. It comes with your choice of side, and I gotthe Smoked Bacon Collard Greens. I did take out, but had a beer at the bar, while I waited. They didn't have my bud light ondraft or bottle, had to go with a can. Service was very good while I was there, and it didn't take long to get my food. TheCuban was delicious. Bread and ingredients fresh and the bread held up to the sammie. The greens were okay. I missed the SmokedBacon part. I'd give them 3.75 stars and look forward to going back. Read more
