This was my first time ever going to a surcheros. I heard good things about it so I decided to try it out. From the time I... walked in until the time I left I was very disappointed. My fiancé and I both ordered bowls and were immediately told that theyonly have chicken and ground beef. That was fine we both got chicken. The area where all of the food is kept was disgusting. Myfiancé wanted corn pico and they were out of that as well. The girl making our bowls had her hair falling out and very unkept.We continued to order having faith the rest of the experience would be better. The area behind the counter was so nasty withfood thrown everywhere. We got to the register and waited for 5 minutes for someone to come check us out. There was no onebehind us but people just ignored the fact that we were at the counter. Then we get to the salsa station and there was only onekind of salsa. Then I go to make our drink and see mold on the ice chute. Both my fiancé and I have worked in multiplerestaurants and know that you get busy and run out of things but the combination of every issue made it the last time we willever visit a surcheros. This was my first time visiting this location today (June 4, 2022 @ 3p.m.) & will probably be my last. The Statesboro location... is 10x better than this. It appeared to be clean when I first walked in, but that was further from the truth. I placed myorder & the young lady who put the toppings on my nachos was so slow that my food sat there for a good five minutes gettingcold. My nachos were wilting during that time. I finally checkout, grab my salsa from the bar (which wasn't that clean) & water& went to find a table to sit down at to eat. Every single table in the restaurant was dirty & had stuff in the seats. Unsweptfloors. Trash was also overflowing. I had to call one of the employees to clean a table for me & meanwhile my food was stillgetting colder. Review about my experience on 04/16/22 7:00 PM EST. When ordering, the line was low on salsa and the employee went off and kept... me waiting for 10+ minutes. They also gave me a taco shell that was dark, and not like the pictures. Another employee i talkedto couldn't give me the correct price for a burrito when I asked about the different options. No new salsa ever came, and theyscooped out what meager portions were left for me. I saw one of the employees taking off their gloves and pushing it down into atrash can filled to the brim with used gloves. I had seen enough, I told the staff that I was okay and walked out. I wouldn'trecommend eating here. I'm sitting in my car writing this about to go to chipotle instead. Really terrible experience. Read more

So Yummy! So clean. So fresh. The team was sweet on our first visit and we were pleased with the options. Good portions and good... flavors. Let me start off by saying our first experience here was terrible. I left a review and someone responded asking to send an email... in about my visit. I did just that on the same night...I never received a response. Obviously irritating because it seems thatit's just for show, so that people feel more comfortable about bad reviews. It leaves people with the impression that badexperiences are taken care of. Against better judgment, me and my family decided to come once again. Please someone tell me whyfor the love of God there is so much grease in a quesadilla? On top of that, why does one half have little to no steak? Moregrease than steak is definitely something I want to pay $10 for. What's bad is I want to love this place. They took away ourTijuana Flats who had the best service, best food, best people. This is the closest thing to the freshness you'd expect fromthere and it doesn't come close. I'd love for someone to reach out that actually cares about customer service and not justblowing out smoke screens.
