Food is okay. Customer service is okay. Nothing really jumps out as special. Don't get fooled by the products on the menu that... have special names. Nothing special about juice or French fries. Juice is the same fruit punch that you can get at anyrestaurant in this category. Fries are the same fries that you get somewhere else also. With the higher price you expectsomething more, don't. We got the shrimp and fish combo. The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp was also quite good. The fish was a... little fishy for our taste. It was not bad fish - just had a more home made/wild caught flavor than we are used to. If that iswhat you're looking for, this is the spot. Service was fast and friendly and portions generous. Traveled in to Savannah for vacation. We were excited to eat here and arrived prior to opening and waited 30 minutes afterwards... for food. Somewhat underwhelmed by experience. Shrimp were good but small portions for the price. Would recommend reducingprices or increasing portions to add more value. Love the historic appearance and the hard work of the owners! I was in the area and I just wanted some fried shrimp. I ended up with the seafood platter. When I tell you that was some of the... best I've ever had.. Whenever I find myself within an hour of this place I will be returning. My kids said it was too spicy andmy grandmother said it had a little kick, but it wasn't spicy at all to me, just flavorful! Get an extra crab they are so goodand full of meat. Matter fact don't leave until your done eating, you have no idea how much you will wish you had more shrimponce they are gone lol. Read more
I entered the parking lot & it was a gravel/concrete slap concrete mixture. Cars were parked in no particular order & parked... everywhere around the building. Customers didn't care where they parked (one even parked behind me partially blocking me in &one was parked in the driveway where people turn in to get into the restaurant). I got up to the window & placed my order. Itwas bit difficult to hear the person behind the glass who was taking my order. I ordered a supreme fish combo. My order came outrelatively fast. I sat down & tasted some of my fries. They weren't even hot & barely lukewarm. They were also overcooked &there were burnt ones underneath the pile of fries. I was thrown off by the two pieces of wheat bread for the sandwich. Thefish itself was ok. It wasn't hot, just lukewarm & lacked salt. I did end up having to pick fish bones out of my mouth that Iwasn't anticipating as I ate my sandwich. The sauce that they give is ok & the juice that they give is ok too. Nothing specialabout either one. Pros: Food was made fast. The restaurant is easy to find. Price was fair. I paid $10 for my combo (sandwichwith two pieces of fish, fries, & a juice) Cons: Food was lukewarm. Food wasn't fresh. Parking is challenging (if customersare parking anywhere they please.) I'd been meaning to try it but hadn't yet and when I saw it on Fresh Fried and Crispy I knew I had to go. My dad and I split the... two item combo, fish and shrimp. Also came with fries and a salad. Wait was pretty short. It's a bit hard to hear them throughthe window setup they have to order. Everything was fresh, good temperature, the fries were really good. The shrimp was cookedperfectly, no rubber shrimp here! The fish wasn't my absolute favorite, I prefer cod but it was still good and I'd definitelyeat there again. The services is amazing. The food is fresh hot and delicious! The sweet thangs can make me a fish samich any day!
