Delicious. They have a good sized menu with options for all kinds of eaters. Friendly staff and clean.
The food is so good. The tater tots have the right crunch and level if saltiness. The dressing on the mixed greens salad is... perfect. The mac and cheese is correctly advertised as really good. Both the tofu vegetable burrito and the shrimp avocadoquesadilla were very yummy. 10/10 would go back and try the rest of the menu! Read more
Small place and very disorganized. I ordered over the phone and when it got there they said the Taco Bowl wasnt in stock. They... did not bother to call me or apologize. I ordered something else and it took 30 minutes for a burrito. There are a lot of placesin Savannah and this place is not as good as most others. Suggest finding something else. Read more
Long time local patron of both Kayak Cafe locations. Used to be a fabulous place to go - esp the Midtown location - and I always... bring/suggest Kayak to family & friends from out of town because the menu is so varied. Food quality has been dropping off inthe past few years, and last night I got a "Big Healthy" salad takeout. No quinoa, no corn, barely any black beans, and I'dasked for no cheese but got plenty of it (feta) - not a good look for an $18 salad. The order was placed an hour before closing,so I'm not sure why I was treated so shoddy. Dropping Kayak from my local favorites list after over 7 years of loyal patronage. Read more
Ordered on DoorDash and I never write reviews but this was so awful. I ordered for pickup and the pickup time said about 20-30... minutes, so I ordered two sandwiches and the tater tot nachos which cost a little over $55. Pricey but we wanted something onthe healthier side. I walked around for about 45 minutes waiting for even an order confirmation (which tells you the restaurantgot your order and they are making it) and then walked around for another half hour waiting for the order to be ready. Finally Igave up and head in only to find my food had been ready for a while and was now cold. I go back and eat some of my food, and thesandwiches were pretty good, even though it was all cold, however the tater tot nachos? The most disgusting thing I have everseen. The first photo is what they are supposed to look like, and the second is what we got. Horrible experience and horriblefood. Most people I asked say it?s normal a great place, so maybe it was a bad day, but terrible food and service. And thesandwiches, even if they were not cold, I don?t believe are worth $18 each. Went here for lunch as we were craving for some fresh/healthy food. Ordered a salad bowl, panini and tomato bisque. Everything... was great and tasty. I am not generally a fan of salads but this salad bowl had the perfect textures, I cleaned out the bowl!The serving took some time after ordering but I assume it was because they cut the veggies fresh. Was in town on a high profile case and had recently switched over to vegetarian diet. Found this spot and it was delicious. ... You must add the sauces they have, and I really enjoyed the spicy sauce. The owners or whomever they were gave goodrecommendations and were proud of their food, deservedly. My case isn't over and I am looking forward to going back. Read more
