Huey's On The River is a great spot where you will be content. The food is prepared with thought, consideration, and execution.... It comes out hot, well proportioned, and visually appealing. Yes it tastes good too!!!. The bar was fun. The drinks were notwatered down or weakened. Bartender was fun and engaging. If you have any dietary concerns with will try to accommodate andeven provide possible options. The manager Alana is a pro. She makes you feel welcomed and will follow up if everything is toyour satisfaction. The crew I noticed always smiled and kept watch. If I would offer a suggestion to them is to maybe have someNew Orleans music, a local artist or even a band. Eating the food here makes you want to do a little seat dance. Overall if youwant to stroll the waterfront or have one of the tastes that Savanna has to offer, make sure to give Huey's On The River a bigconsideration. Read more
We had dinner on a Tuesday night. There was a hour wait but it went quickly. They use yelp so you can see the wait list so we... wondered around until it was our turn. The food was great and the staff was efficient. Great place for a meal! Read more
First off let me say, there is no outdoor seating. The second floor seating in the pictures is NOT for Huey's. I planned on... eating here based off of the outdoor seating, but even after finding out it was for a different restaurant, we still proceededto eat here. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and catfish fingers for appetizers that were pretty good. For my entree I gotthe shrimp and grits which were delicious. However, there was one shrimp in my dish that was still fully shelled that I had tospit out, but the rest were fine. The beignets were okay. They just seemed more like funnel cake. I've been here three times, five years ago was great, two years ago good, this year fair. Shrimp and grits were too salty, mushy... and overpowered with rosemary - a total fail. The gumbo was better but again, mushy and gooey. Fried green tomatoes and oysterswere both very good. Service was just OK. Read more
It's a really nice place. We had lunch there and the shrimp and crab leg dinner is really good! Also shared a cup of their crab... stew! Pretty good just wish it was a little hotter temperature wise. They give you plenty to dip with as well. Read more
we went around 2 for lunch and waited for half an hour. i got the shrimp po boy. the food was pretty good and the portion sizes... were very impressive. our server was super nice and talkative (in a good way). the only fault was that one of the people in myparty got dirty silverware, but our server was quick to replace it. overall it is a pretty good spot. On the Riverfront, our wait time was about an hour, with call ahead seating. We sat at 6:45pm. The hostess was helpful to get... our party of six inside, pulling a couple of tables together (waiting outside was cold), so we were grateful. The vibe insidewas good. The server was friendly. Homemade corncake came out while we waited for our order and we ordered a spinach artichokedip which was excellent! The food, however, did not come out correctly. Salads came out at the same time as the food (althoughother tables seem to get theirs before their food ????), and 1/2 an order (surf and turf) was missing...missing the surf. ????.The bill was adjusted, but it was a disappointment for the one in our party who had ordered the meal. I ordered the Shrimp andScallop pasta, which was very good with a good portion size. My husband ordered the burger and was equally satisfied. I haven?t been to Huey?s in 10 years and after 10 years I still love it. The shrimp and grits were amazing. I opted out the... tomatoes but it was still delicious! My husband enjoyed the shrimp and oysters platter as well. Great service and I like sittingby the window. Read more
