This place is loaded with history. The restaurant was restored to its original design. They have the first electric clock in... Savannah, awarded to them by local government back in the 1920's. The food here was delicious. We split the smoked salmonsandwich, and one of the salads. Both of them were so good! I am not a big fan of seafood, but this was so good! The drinks aredelicious as well, I had a blueberry lemonade that was definitely hit the spot! Read more

Such a great experience. Service was so great. All the Gryphon employees greeted us. We were seated and given a brief history of... the place. This is by far one of my favorite places I?ve visited in Savannah. The experience felt unique, I can?t wait to goback! Read more

I don't have many opportunities for an experience like this where I live so it was a great date stop during our trip. The prices... are incredible for the eclectic nature. Very cute mixture of an old stylized pharmacy/library. I would recommend getting the teatower as it's enough for about 5 cups, and comes with some small bites, and a desert sampler for the affordable price of 20 pertower. Perfectly suitable for two people per tower. Read more

The best experience I've had during my entire trip in SC and GA!!!!!! I walked by the building and couldn't not stop here. The... elegance and detail of the interior design and ambience is just so classic! It was around closing time, so it was quiet and wegot this really nice table by the window! We had some tea, coffee, coconut mousse(?) and eclair. The waiters are students fromthis prestigious school. The person who assisted us was really amazing. He told us a brief history about the building and thetearoom and made us have above and beyond experience. Just see the photos and you will want to go as well :) Read more

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and had a lovely experience. The wait staff were very friendly and gave us some great... information about the the building, which is absolutely beautiful. I had afternoon tea and my husband had prosciutto sandwich. Both were very tasty, as was my Ooh la Lacoste specialty tea. We'll definitely try to stop back in next time we're in Savannah! Read more

This place is beautiful?an architectural gem. Once a masonic hall, then a pharmacy, it has traces of that history plus the look... of a library, with high ceilings, book cases (with old books), and more. Food was equally great. My wife and I both had thequiche of the day, perfectly prepared and served with a lightly-dressed salad and cantaloupe slices. Scones were fresh andexcellent. The dessert was a puff pastry with apple filling and covered with matcha?excellent. Coffee was hot and very good. Ourserver, Madison, told us the history of the place and provided superb service throughout. PS They also have high tea availableat lunch time. Read more
