Outdoor tables were the perfect answer to lunch in the Riverside District. Valet parking & ramp make it handicap accessible. We... are locaks who know our seafood. Two of us shared the plentiful fried fish & fries. Very tasty. Hubby enjoyed soft-shell crab(out of season..must?ve been frozen) sandwich oozing with flavor. Service was quick. The tables are in front of bar, so thereare definitely noisy & way tipsy tourists enjoying themselves. Good early supper & Savannah River view was delightful. Nice open air bar & grill on the riverfront. We loved the location, speciality drinks, and the oysters. We went twice during a... 3 day stay in Savannah. The location is ideal during nice weather when you just want to relax and enjoy a couple hoursoutside. We also ordered oysters - my husband's raw on the half shell and mine Rockefeller style. Great little indoor/outdoor place right on the river, where you can watch the ships coming in while you have drinks and lunch. ... The drinks are good - try the Southern Belle! - and the oysters are terrific! Lizzy was so friendly and fun, and we enjoyedtalking with her so much, we stayed for an extra drink. We visited District Seafood while touring Savannah. The restaurant is actually a riverside bar that serves food as well as... drinks. The weather was very chilly on the day of our visit, but the overhead heaters kept us toasty warm and comfortable. Ourfood server was very friendly and helpful, and mixed up one of the best lemonades I've tasted. My wife and I ordered hushpuppiesto start with and then split the Crispy Platter, which includes fried shrimp, fried oysters, fried snapper, and fries. The frieswere seasoned with Old Bay seasoning, and they were excellent. We had plenty to eat and the food was quite satisfying. It was anice place to have lunch and I look forward to visiting again. The low river broil was salty and I was charged more than what the menu advertised. When I spoke to the lady at the cash... register she said that they just made new menus, I was given the old one and she would not change it in the system so they wouldnot honor the advertised price. The more I thought about it, the less I could let it go. I spoke with the manager who eventuallyfixed it. It wasn?t much of a price difference but it?s the principle of the matter. You should not change prices like that.It?s bait and switching. I know they probably grabbed the original menus but the cashier up front was very unapologetic and notconcerned. Great atmosphere along the River walk. This whole Plant Riverside is top notch! Food and drinks at district seafood are very... good. Seafood platter and oysters on the half shell!! Prices are decent considering it's downtown and it's a tourist spot. Butfor me being a local I will definitely be going back. Also had live music which was a added bonus and beautiful views of theriver and all the industrial beauty. Read more
