Very good flavor, but not worth it for the price and size of the wings. For 10 small wings it equaled $18. And it?s just the... wings and sauce, it doesn?t come with anything else. If you?re willing to pay that much, then I?d say go ahead because theflavors were pretty good. I got the lemon pepper wings and the sauce was very good. It had a nice taste to it! I came to 520 on a Monday night about an hour and half before close. I was not pleased with my food and much to my dismay... because I am a frequent visitor of the Abercorn tavern location. I ordered a 10 piece lemon pepper and they called my name formy food about 2 min later. It is safe to assume that it was already prepared. The food was not hot nor did it taste very well. The wings are great BUT the attitudes of the staff take away from the food MAJORLY. For example (yesterday Aug 12), how is the... customer supposed to know you're speaking to them when you're back is turned? And just overall the people at the register haveno welcoming personalities nor do they appear to want to be at work. I get it, customer service can suck most of the time but ifthe customer isn't being rude why not put forth the effort into making the customer feel like you want them to be there? Thestaff need more training in the professionalism department. And most recently the health department scored them with a 70 (didnot know that until AFTER I got my food). Service is good and the Young ladies are fast taken your order. The wait time isn't too bad, but the food is "Hot" and... delicious, whenever I want to eat "Hot Wings"???? this is my favorite and first choice. I always recommend my family, friendsand co-workers. The parking lot is raggedy and always a mess. It's always hard to get in there and get out. I ordered the crab fries and the... shrimp alfredo. The crab fries I only like because there isn't anywhere else to get them. They are too salty and I find piecesof crab shells in them often while I'm eating. The shrimp alfredo wasn't bad. The shrimps were seasoned nicely, the alfredosauce needed a bit more seasoning. Overall, it's an ok place. Wouldn't be something that I'd want a few times a month. Read more
Me and my son went here today, first time eating at 520 Wings. Came here bc A-Town Wings was closed. And I must say this is by... far the smallest, feather covered and the worse wings I've ever had. I ordered the 20 wings half hot honey mustard and lemonpepper. The wings didn't have hardly any meat on them and was smaller than my thumb. Ate only a few and couldn?t eat anymore.The flavor on the wings or the ranch left a bad after taste in my mouth. I WILL never eat here again. Read more
I like 520 Wings. I like the tavern better. The wings are good but they are small. If you are of a larger stature then 6 wings... is going make you angry or hungrier. The shrimp and fish items are tasty and reasonably priced. As a matter of fact, EVERYTHINGis inexpensive on the menu. The salads are a hidden secret for the price. I just got hyped to the funnel cake fries ($4.99 &diabetes here I came). Let's not talk about the lemonades. They are truly Southern, very delicious & filled with sweet. I seediabetes when I look at the cup but we all gotta take a risk, sometimes. (hahaha) This wing joint isn't for the bougie/bourgeoisat heart. The customers are from ALL different walks of life. That's alright with me. I can move around into any room. However,the dine-in area is the size of a walk-in closet. So, take-out is the better option. The owner is a real cool dude. If you havea compliant he will definitely make it right, as well as one of the managers. The staff is young and on the up! So, you will seea new face often, just make a new friend. This location is open really late on the weekends, plus it can get crowded. If yourbudget needs a stretch, then 520 Wings is a budget pleaser. Online ordering is up and running most of the time!
