Roxbury Tavern is a quirky original, i've been stopping here for years now. The food is as good as ever, get the Roxburger or... one of their many rotating specials. Bonus if the smoker is going out front. It's not fancy but the cozy atmosphere is uniqueand relaxing. Laid back crowd, often several cyclists as it's along the trail from Madison. Eclectic decor, including framedpaintings and a fully intact beehive on a branch. Instruments hang above the bar, and several local craft beers on tap, LakeLouie, Port Huron, etc. Great place. House rules: Cash only, no big groups, no cussin'. RIP 2018: Wish Tom well in retirement.I'll miss the Roxbury Tavern, it had character and originality in spades, one of the most unique country taverns in WI. Read more
