Their food is delicious! We pick up food most weeks for lunch, and I've had soups, salads, sandwiches, and various snacks. I... love their burrata and tapenade, soups, and sandwiches in particular, but I haven't had anything that wasn't delicious. Andeveryone who works there is extremely kind and friendly. What a dream of a shop! You have friends coming over…boom it’s done. You don’t feel like cooking…boom it’s done! So... many options and the team there is so nice. A special thank you Juan and Cheryl ! The food at Black-Eyed Suzie's Upstate has been consistent since the East Village... establishment in the 90's in NYC. The flavors and variety are always "on point". The staff, atmosphere, store design, attentionto detail on take out items and the polite atmosphere always make going there a fun time. Lovely little cafe. Hot soup and brewed coffee (hot and iced) were available, along with a variety of freshly made sandwiches,... sides, and other grab & go options. There is also a place to sit and a good selection of upscale snacks. We hung out and hadsandwiches, egg salad, and delicious cookies! The prices definitely aren't low, but I felt like I got the high quality I paidfor. The folks who work there were helpful and patient, much appreciated! Read more
The food was pretty good. It's not the best food I ever ate in my life but I would go back to eat here again. I ordered the... Lentil-Mushroom Burger. I didn't realize it was vegetarian when I ordered it but was still glad I did. I've tried veggie burgersat fancy places and this one was 10 times better. Side-note, their menu has detailed descriptions of all their items but forsome reason I didn't realize that this was a meatless burger, even though the other burgers specified which meat they were madeout of. I was driving home after a long day and happened to see a sign serving burrata with pesto ( my absolute fav). I was welcomed... immediately upon walking in and given a menu. Everything was beyond my expectations. The burrata melted instantly in my mouthwith the perfect amount of seasoning. I also ordered the cod cakes and have never tasted anything like it. They had the perfectbalance of spicy and lemon flavors. I finally found my go to spot for the area. Read more
First time here. Was a warm spot to eat when walking to town on a cold day. GREAT FOOD with veggie options. Loved the grilled... tofu. Put it in the butternut squash soup. Don't start me on the cookies. A couple doesn't last long; they are so delicious. Read more
