Terrible. Food was so over priced that we spent $130 for 3 for lunch and a couple drinks. The menu is not up to date on google... and the choices on the menu were lackluster. The waitress said it was because they were closing for the season soon and had alighter menu. The chicken on my chicken sandwich was not seasoned at all and was tough. The tables were so close together on thepatio that the (drunk) guys beside us leaned over and joined us. Was my first trip to the area and I had my god daughter and herboyfriend with me from North Carolina. Not an impressive look. Read more

The Mermaid was recommended to us, and we're thrilled that we decided to stop in. We had lunch, lunch, and dinner here the past... 30-hours. The outdoor dining is incredible - right along the Kalamazoo River in the sun and with a great breeze. The cocktailsare delicious, and the best one - the Rum Runner - is half off during their happy hour. The blackberry brandy is what makes itso good. All of the food we had was good, but the standout for me was the Salmon BLT - I had it both days. Read more

Overall not a great experience. Long wait, service was awful. Nobody bussed the table during our meal. At one point 11 different... people walked past our table and didn't even look at us with a table full of plates. I finally asked one of the girls if shecould grab a few plates and she literally was speechless and just looked at me, and then reluctantly grabbed a couple. Themussels were bland and small, the trout was good. The food is over priced and the ambiance is meh...just a porch crammed withumbrellas. The drinks are $15 and small. If you have low expectations, go. If not, don't. Read more

Extensive wine & bourbon selections. Not like many of the bar food places in town, the seafood was excellent. Enjoyed the sea... bass prepared with lemon caper sauce - delicious. I substituted rice for mashed potatoes (rice is always a better choice withseafood IMO). My wife had the Halibut which was also great. Outdoor dining was nice but a little crowded. Understandable forthe time of year. Got seated right away @ 5:30pm so come early. Will definitely visit again! Read more

We ate here twice during the July 4th weekend and it was such a great experience both times! To start, I really liked that they... offer to put you on a wait list through their website. That was very helpful especially on a holiday weekend. The view of theboats and water under an umbrella made it even more special. Now to the food. The menu is a bit pricey but the shrimp boil I hadwas delicious and something I wouldn't normally eat if not on vacation. Other delicious items: Diner Burger, Coconut Shrimp andFish & Chips. The Blackend Mahi sandwich was very good but a little small for the price. I may have just gotten a small fishwith some bad luck on this particular day! Will definitely return the next time I'm in Saugatuck. Read more

Seated under an umbrella next to the river we watched the boats port and drift while enjoying crisp fresh wine sourced from each... coast. The boardwalk with passers by is the perfect backdrop to incredibly fresh seafood coupled with wonderfully zesty saucesand pastas. The seafood boil and diablo shrimp were our favorites. Our dog was able to sit at our table and enjoy the kind petsfrom patrons and servers asking to greet him. This is a kind place for pet owners and connoisseurs alike. You'll love it! Read more

The Salmon BLT with sweet potato fries was amazing. It is outdoor dining so bring your sunnies! If you're alcohol free, ask... for a mocktail! Read more

Cute location and enjoyed being on the water, but was disappointed with the entree portions compared to the cost. For something... marketed as "boat to table cuisine", I was also hoping for more local fish options. Since the things I asked about weren'tlocal anyway, I settled on the catch of the day (monkfish) and my mother had the chicken picatta. We also ordered a side ofcheddar biscuits. The Pacific Rim preparation was tasty, and the miso-sake broth was a nice touch. I think my favorite part wasthe mushrooms, though, and that really seems like a shame at a seafood place. Our service was also a bit spotty and ourwaitress stepped off to help another table a few times when we still had questions or were waiting to order the biscuits. Thewoman handling the table next to us was more attentive and kind; not as rushed. Read more
