HomeQuarter is indeed a delightful spot to enjoy a delightful eating experience. Unfortunately, having ordered and anticipated... the delving into a Saskatoon berry pie I was flabbergasted that it also contained a large number of Chokecherries. As we knowChokecherries have a very hard pit/stone which if bitten into could potentially break a tooth.\nI would urge the very closeexamination of the Saskatoon berries prior to the inclusion in a pie. Saskatoon berry pie should only include Saskatoon berries. Read more

We were very disappointed this morning, thinking that HomeQuarter was a \'top end\' place to go for a meal. The prices would... suggest that it is a \'top end\' place to eat. We had the Sunrise breakfast: the coffee was not good (weak and a strange sidetaste), the potatoes were cold (obviously partially parboiled and then browned but not thoroughly heated), eggs were slightlywarm. Perhaps there is a new, inexperienced cook or even a new owner. We have been here before and it was better. We\'re notsure what happened. lt wasn\'t busy, so it wasn\'t because the cook couldn\'t keep up! Read more

Decent food - like that they have soup & sandwiches. Hopefully they\'ll catch on to the Healthier foods trend sometime soon -... current sandwich menu is extremely meat centric. Need some healthier sandwich & Vegetarian/Vegan options added to menu, Kombuchaand some juice/smoothie drinks beyond the old school OJ & AJ options. Read more

first time visit, went with cousin early for lunch two weeks ago, had seen many great reviews and looked forward to trying it... out. Not busy, had a distracted person take our order. What appeared to be the children\'s area was very messy, stayed thatway over an hour that we were there. We seated ourselves away from that end of the cafe. I ordered ham and swiss, very tastyand fresh, half way through I realize, no cheese! Didn\'t make an issue as the sandwich was tasty as it was. When we left, Igot two desserts to go. Pumpkin cake and Carrot cake. Pumpkin cake was so dry I had to cut all the edges off to try it, in themiddle the taste was there but icing and cake were very old. Carrot cake was a bit fresher. I did contact via email, and noresponse. disheartening Read more

I\'ve been here several times, although I think I won\'t patronize them again as I just can\'t justify spending $3.50 plus tax... on a 16 ounce drip brew given the service that ranges from indifferent to downright poor, as others have commented.. Goodlocation and pleasant atmosphere. On my last visit I was the only one in the shop and EVERY SINGLE TABLE either had dirty disheson it or needed to have the crumbs and spills wiped off. I walked around the place three times before finally sitting at whatlooked like a clean spot at the window bar. Half an hour later there are still multiple dirty dishes on the main floorbanquettes and there have been virtually no customers come in. I wonder why they even put out a tip jar because they\'re notdoing anything to earn it. Read more
