The experience of dining here was at all times, the highest quality. The host was prompt and asked us which location (dining... room, lounge or patio) we would like to dine in. And a hostess who seated us, was sweet, and offered kind words regarding mywardrobe. We were left with a few minutes to paruse the menu to decide on drinks, when our waiter arrived. He politelyintroduced himself and asked if we were celebrating any occasion this evening. We were. Our 15th wedding anniversary. Hecongratulated us and immediately offered us complimentary glasses of champagne, or if we preferred, a dessert at the end of ourmeal. I loved the options, My husband doesn't drink, so we opted for dessert following our meal. He explained D the housespecials and asked if we would like to order drinks, I ordered a cocktail and he left us to pursue the menu some more. Wedecided to order an Appetizer of Onion Rings to start and ordered steak dinners both. The onion rings were very prompt, not 5minutes went by before they arrived, hot and absolutely crunchy. The basil dip was pleasantly surprising, a little went a longway, and the portion size of the rings was impressive. Would definitely order again. Our meals were exactly as ordered, done toour preferred medium-rare. The portion size was more than enough following out appetizer. My husband left some. Of his sides ashe was full and we still planned on dessert. We opted for Creme Brulee, which was exactly the way you'd expect. The plate had anadditional congrats in chocolate spelt out, and the waiter included a lovely card signed by the staff congratulating us on ouranniversary. They included a small business size card for a complimentary Mushroom and Goat Cheese dip for our next visit.Server was always present, filling our water glasses when near empty, and asking if our food was ok, or steaks done to ourdesired likeness. I would consider this place a special restaurant for special occasions. I could find no faults in the decor, atmosphere,... service, or food quality/ presentation. I ordered sirloin steak with a loaded baked potato. This came with roasted beet, andsteamed baby bok choy. Steak was ordered medium rare and in my opinion was done perfectly. Very good quality beef. Just theright amount of seasoning. Others at my table ordered fillet minion, prime rib, and a wild mushroom and goat cheese dip withcrostini. Was in Saskatoon for a concert today, was recommended Chop by a friend and WOW! 5 star experience. Food and drink was great, the... mains were on the pricier side-not an issue and not unusual for a place like this, but dessert, drinks, and appetizers were allpriced very well. Our server Teneal was very friendly, and I liked the way she handles tables-I?m not a fan of when severs areover the top friendly but she was perfect. To the point and very friendly. Will be back! Quite a nice high end restaurant. We went on New Years Day for a special night out. Food is prepared well and generally plated... well. Service is attentive but not overwhelming. Some tables have no direct lighting so it can be hard to read the menu. We sawat least two couples request a different table because of this. Lobster chowder was incredible. My meal was comped because my sirloin was undercooked and I didn't have time to send it back.... The peppers were the best I've ever had but the mashed potatoes were as dry as cocoa, but there was a mountain of them. $100+for two is a little much and I would recommend The Keg for a better meal at the same price.
