I dined here Saturday night with my husband and mother. We have been here several times before and everything was always perfect... the service and the food. We had an appetizer eggplant rollatini which was delicious. My mom ordered chicken bruschetta whichwas enormous size and it was very good and my husband ordered shrimp fra Diablo with extra shrimp and that also was enough fortwo and was very good. I ordered chicken Sorrentino which I have had before and I was in shock when they put the plate down infront of me. It was served on a little square dish like a side dish and it looked like either an appetizer or child's portion.It was nothing like the menu said. It was supposed to be a chicken breast with fried eggplant shallots garlic Marsala wine. Ihad three little tiny pieces of chicken tender and if there were two tiny slices of eggplant wirh mozzarella cheese. My momalso had chicken she had two huge pieces of chicken and what I had was unacceptable. I asked our server if there was somemistake and if it was an appetizer of some kind and he said he wasn't the chef and he didn't know. At this point no manager cameover and I was highly disappointed after being there quite a few times with excellent service and wonderful food. Had dinner here on a Friday evening during track season. It wasn't very busy although a little bit after we ordered a table of... 18 were sat next to us. Our appetizers and drinks were out in no time and dinners came shortly after. Service was quick but foodwas very so, so. Heard good things about the food so had dinner brfore attending orchestra at SPAC. Fried mozzarella rounds (3 of them) with a... tasty breading and gooey mozzarella were very good. The romaine salad had a nice, light dressing and was large enough for 2 toshare. Enjoyed it. However, after that things went downhill with the entrees. My wife's carbonara came with spaghetti noodlesinstead of the menu promise of papardelle. The sauce had very little flavor and needed salt. The panchetta was sparse and hadlittle if any affect on flavor of the dish. Granddaughter's spaghetti and meatballs, the menu says it comes with penne, thewaiter had to get permission from the kitchen to change the pasta to spaghetti. The tomato sauce was very bland although the 2meatballs were very good. My bolognese with linguine (had to get kitchen approval for the menu change from rigatoni) had plentyof meat and was overall, okay. The noodles were cooked al dente which I love. 3 kinds of good wine for $7 a glass was nice andappreciated. Good atmosphere and helpful staff. Read more
Had a wonderful birthday meal here with my family. Excellent linguine & clams, fresh bread, great service. They made a pretty... great old fashioned too. Everyone left full and happy. Can't believe I waited so long to try it. Read more
3 Vines is by far my FAVORITE place for Italian in Saratoga Springs! They have the best pizza but my go-to pasta is the penne... Romano. Annie and Joe are wonderful owners, I always look forward to seeing them. Read more
We decided to try Three Vines since we wanted to go someplace new with an out-of-town guest. The whole experience was lovely.... Our wait staff helped with our food selection and never made us feel like we were overstaying our welcome. We started off withthe pepper fried calamari, panzanella and Caesar salads. We dove into them so quickly that I didn't get a photo. Entrees werepenne Primavera, linguine with clams, and penne alla Siciliano. We also had an olive oil cake and fried dough (not sure of theexact names) for dessert. We stayed for about two hours enjoying the delicious food and great company. Three Vines Bristo offers a good variety of Italian dishes to choose from. They have very friendly staff and it was easy to be... seated even as walk in customers. My only complaint with the restaurant is that my Penne Alfredo dish was served to me on thehotter side of things, but I believe this was the case in order to melt the cheese in the right way as I could taste the varietyof flavors it was bringing to the dish. The bacon was cut very thinly which is good, but I didn’t taste its presence in thedish. The green peas, however, did have a high quality fresh taste and added significant flavor to my Penne Alfredo dish. As anadditional part of this review, I’ve attached photos of the dishes that were also ordered during this visit: Penne with“Meetballs” and Bruschetta which both tasted good, but they did not reach the quality I’ve experienced at other Italianrestaurants. The Three Vines Bistro is an excellent Italian restaurant to visit. I know many people who would be absolutelysatisfied from this experience. I’m a harder customer to satisfy and I acknowledge that so if you are in the area and arewanting some Italian food, the Three Vines Bistro is an excellent place to check out! Read more
I have been to Three Vines twice and each time the food has been amazing. I highly recommend the Chicken Sorrentino and any of... the meatballs. The pizzas are great too. Great place, great food! Read more
