Have been lucky enough to dine at Meliora twice, once with a large party, and again with my daughter. We dined at the chef's... table on both occasions - the experience is amazing, especially when the dining room fills and the kitchen gets ramped up. Don'tlet the menu fool you - the staff is courteous, but not pretentious at all; the atmosphere is very relaxed. The dining room islight and open, with some beautiful examples of Japanese goytaku prints and gentle finishes. The attention to detail in eachplate is amazing - you can taste the passion for the diverse ingredients being employed. The small plate style is a great way tosample and share a number of the dishes with your table - "OMG try this" is frequently heard here. The bar is understatedlyelegant, and the cocktail offerings put many other local spots to shame. Highly recommended ! Read more

This is our second time dining at Meliora. We ate here 2 weeks ago. I like that it?s fresh, local food and that they change a... couple of the menu items each week. We sat near the kitchen this time and watched the staff preparing the food. Foodpresentation very impressive. Chef came out and spoke with us about how he prepares the food which was a treat for my husbandand brother-in-law who both love to cook. The drinks are also fabulous. The smoke signals drink is a definite must try alongwith the ? well actually all the drinks. It?s amazing how they can get a bubble covered drink delivered without the bubblepopping!
