If you already know Kacey's on Fruitville, you will love this just as much...just not as crowded (for now). A.J. is the... best! In for dinner again, had the Shrimp "Scargo"...full of flavor! Ordered fish and shrimp ???? basket. I was shocked on the amount of food I was served. 2 large filets of cod. (Amazing by the... way.) 4 large shrimp (delicious) , Mountain of French fries. (Really good). Hush puppies and coleslaw. Our waitress was onpoint! And the coolest ???? part .... aquarium bar. The actual bar top is a salt water aquarium. Some friends and I had lunch at Kacey's today and we were very impressed. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us... promptly. Our server provided us excellent service. Our orders were freshly prepared and delicious. The menu items werefairly priced. The atmosphere was friendly. The restaurant cleanliness was outstanding. Food and service a five - Sammy our server the best of the best. We loved the grouper, the shrimp taco?s, the apps., the kids... meals, the fried shrimp basket. Delicious. Food was seasoned and served very hot. Only one suggestion, to the owner, theinside temp was hot and sticky and we are Seniors. It was very noticeable. We said something to our waiter and he took care ofthis. Please adjust the temperature accordingly for this time of the year. I came with 6 quests, initially it was uncomfortableand it took a while to cool off. We spent the day on the beach so we wanted to come someplace where the atmosphere is cool. I have been to the Kacey's on Fruitville Rd numerous times over the years and felt I needed to write a review. I had the Tuna... Master Jessie which included wasabi fried shrimp and ahi tuna with a seaweed rice. The shrimp had a light airy batter and thetuna was amazing. I had such a good experience here that I went to the sister restaurant on Longboat (Lazy Lobster) and hadanother great experience. The only thing I wish I did different was take pictures!I will recommend both restaurants to myfriends and to you! Read more
I had a very nice lunch today and this was my first time visiting Kacey?s. The server was very nice and took excellent care of... me with recommendations. The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious. The shrimp po boy reminded me of my New Orleans days. Ifinished it off with a absolute awesome lemon cello cake. I will certainly return for round 2 in future. Read more
Had lunch at Kaceys the other day with some friends. Staff was very attentive. I had the fish tacos (they are cod, but I asked... if I could have grouper, which they had) and it was good. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars is I was surprised atthe up charge for the grouper (it doubled the price of the fish tacos but I wasn?t told that when I asked for grouper). I willprobably come back but will always ask what the extra cost is in the future and recommend that for anyone dining there. Read more
