We?ve been here many times - both as a couple and with our families. I have never left a review like this. We just recently... relocated from NJ and 24 hrs after a catagory 4 hurricane, we had spent the entire morning cleaning up our yard (bc ourlandscaping men were incredibly overwhelmed). We had lunch at Duval?s (highly recommend) and decided to stop at the wine barprior to going home. Not only were we treated inadequately but, we were legitimately made to feel unwelcome. I will admit wewere both in shorts and a T-shirt. I?m not sure I have ever been made to feel this way - especially due to the fact that Igenuinely don?t feel the need to ?impress? those at a pour your own wine bar. My husband felt this treatment was so egregiousthat he tipped sub-optimally. As a science nerd, I would love to dress differently and use our original presentation as acontrol but, after this experience, we legitimately don?t want to contribute flexible income to this business. I am genuinelydisappointed bc I really enjoy the ambiance and the concept (hence, 2 stars). I have nothing else to say other than the factthat, your demographic is changing and I highly recommend that you adapt. Edited to Respond: First, Grand Cru is the only winebar in the area - probably don?t insinuate that a customer is mistaken. 20% tip is the bare minimum. Your comment about ourdress is so unprofessional for any establishment; I would highly recommend you delete it. I?m legitimately surprised andperplexed by the defensive nature of this response and the statement ?I?m not really sure what your complaint is.? Great place. The ambiance is excellent. As you enter you see this beautiful high ceiling with ambient lighting. Really gives the... place a cozy feel. The wine collection is second to none. They have done a good job by keeping in mind that a party of multiplepeople might have individuals that are not into wine, and there you go?.you have a nice array of beers on the tap. The firstset of taps are the wines!! They have some really good cheese and meat plates. I really loved the chorizo cuts. Ask for theolive tapenade. Great place overall. You can park at the city hall and take that short walk. There is street parking. Thereare some private lots but they tend to be overpriced. Read more
