How do I give this place 6 stars? The food was INCREDIBLE, wait staff was engaged, restaurant was clean and the drinks were... great! Anthony Rizzo was behind the bar and man can he make some great drinks! Even though the wine selection is wide, don’tget wine…test him! The calamari appetizer was literally the best I’ve ever had, a great mix of dry fried calamari, sweetveggies, peppers and some kind of magic dusting…so good! Do yourself a favor and go here. So so pleased! We ordered pick up for our office today and everything was so flavorful! It makes me disappointed that I hadn't... been there before! The spring rolls are so delicious, and the rollatini was served different than I've had before and I love it!The sauce is were so delicious, I think it was a vodka sauce and a pesto sauce which were just amazing! All the portions wereperfect. Everyone loved their food! Someone from the restaurant came into our office building one day and left us the menu and adiscount card, which I look forward to using when I go to sit down and eat there, and they also gave us a couple of really yummydesserts to try when they dropped off the menu! Just before I gave up on a good culinary experience in Sarasota I decided to go to Duval’s and I was NOT disappointed. We were... greeted with ice cold water and warm bread basket and wiped butter then I ordered the fresh catch fish it was grilled toperfection but I would recommend the seafood sampler. And for dessert I had the lime pie. The food was good however I wouldn’tconsider it a fine dining experience due to the close proximity of the tables around us , the noise level and the dress code.However we did have a good time. Dinner here was great, we sat at the bar but the bar tender who was also our server was very good. I had the Seafood Sampler... which was amazing. The restaurant was very clean and not too busy (Wednesday evening). If we would have been sat at a regulartable and not the bar, I would likely given 5 stars. Read more

Overall my experience at this restaurant was excellent. Environment: 5/5 Server: 5/5 Appetizer: 5/5 Bread: 4/5 Entrée:... 3/5 Dessert: 5/5 The meal started out very strong! I had the coconut curry mussels, and it was a perfect beginning to the meal.The curry was very good, and when the bread is dipped in it, the texture and flavor is divine. The bread on its own came out abit cold and tough. My entrée, the sampler, was good overall but left room to be desired. The lobster tail was perfect, butthe rest of the sampler was somewhat subpar. The shrimp was a bit over cooked with a chewy texture, and the scallops wererather flavorless other than a bit of char from the grill. The spinach was soggy, and the potatoes were bland at best. Whendipped in the curry from earlier in the meal it did redeem the meal a lot! Finished off the meal with the flourless chocolatecake á la mode. Fantastic texture and the perfect serving size. Presentation was top notch, and they didn’t sacrifice flavorfor appearance. Very well done. With as much as I have traveled, and as many hometown specialty restaurants I’ve visited,this restaurant has its own charm, yet its main dish came up somewhat disappointing for my expectations.
