Mediocre pricy mish mash of Asian foods. The only thing I really enjoyed and would order again was the ikura. First off, the... sparkling sake is overpriced by about 300%. I wonder how much the shipping is but $36 for a small bottle is ridiculous. Stillgot it cause it reminded us of Hawaii and Japan. I guess that’s the price of nostalgia. We ordered the duck. Cooked okay, reminds me of Chinese food but not upscale Thai food. Sauce was horrible and lazy - store bought chili sauce not even spiced ormodified with garlic or something. Coconut curry was okay but not enough seafood - seafood was not fresh and overcooked. Havingit in the young coconut was fine but it made the serving size so small for the price of >$30. Green papaya salad was (can’tbelieve I’m saying this) too heavy on the fish sauce, not enough peanuts and not spicy enough to be authentic. We asked forspicy and we’re used to actually spicy papaya salad. I wanted to like this place but we’ll keep looking for a better Thaiplace. Read more

Excellent sushi!!! Unfortunately, they do sell cocktails, the extensive wine list they tout, was not extensive because they are... out of numerous bottles as well draft beers. As far as value you will find better value and same quality at other sushiestablishments! The pad Thai was good. Read more

Stopped in to grab some lunch with daughters and this place did not disappoint! We had the Sexy Lady (no hot sauce) and Spider... rolls with Salmon sushi! The food was made fresh and it tasted fresh. The decor and vibe of Drunken Poet is fun and quirky!Service was outstanding! We will be back! Read more

Great lunch spot in downtown Sarasota! I ordered two rolls from the lunch menu for $15 which is a total deal! Both the spicy... salmon roll and veggie roll were made perfectly! I hope to go back and try out one of their special rolls because they lookedinsanely good! Not the cleanliest restaurant but not gross by any means. Great decor, super cool to look around! Read more

I love this place - vegan options, great vibe inside and yes, puppy friendly when dining outside. Is the food the greatest?... Perhaps not ~ but the overall experience is on point as the food is satisfying, staff are attentive and the selection ofbeverages is awesome (especially the sake). Out on a date, chilling with my puppy or hanging with a friend, in these instances, the Drunken Poet is the perfect backdrop. Be mindful of what you order if you're concerned about spending too much money, otherwise, relax and enjoy yourself, we're in Florida, not Phuket! Read more

Nice restaurant with darker interiors. It was my first time here. Well about the food … Ok but not delicious for me. We... ordered a Spicy Fried Rice n a Pad Thai. We ordered spicy level 5. But both Spicy Fried Rice n the Pad Thai were like spicylevel 2. Then we asked for a spicy tray n he gave us some chilli flakes. I’m such a lover of Thai food. So when comparing toother restaurants I have been so far, the food is not delicious for me … The the presentation is also not eye catching … Read more
