Ordered pizza from this place tonight and was thrilled with the quality of the food I received. Tons of pepperoni, tons of... sausage, lots of cheese... the wings were really good too. This was suppose to be chicken bacon ranch salad. This clearly is not that. I?ve ordered them before and the were delicious.... This didn?t even have bacon or ranch dressing. I called the store and they weren?t willing to replace it. Read more
I?m from Ohio and moved to Florida 12 years ago and since then I?ve missed Donatos.Randomly yesterday my Wife and I were talking... about it and she decided to look it up. Sure enough in August of 2020 they opened 3 locations in Sarasota, FL where we work. Istopped today after work to pick up my favorite pizza and it taste just how I remember it. Usually we are partial to non-chain/franchise pizza?s but we have been seeing a lot of action on Social Media with positive... feedback so we gave Donatos a shot. Pros: Convenient location with plenty of parking. Lots of staff, perhaps even too much.Even though you ordered at the counter if you dine in, they bring the food to your table and the manager even came by to checkon our satisfaction. Cons: I?m pretty sure they forgot our order, or perhaps thought we were a carry out. We waited a littleover 30 minutes for our pizza, and after a staff member stopped by asking if we had gotten it yet (acting a little surprisedwhen asking the question), we heard a bustle of activity and it came out shortly after that. Dine in is limited with only 3booths total in the main area. They did have a ?community room? that was also open with additional seating and perhapsadditional tables will be added to the main area after COVID restrictions are loosened. The pizza itself was pretty good. Weenjoyed it more then something like a Domino?s or Pizza Hut, but as picky pizza people I wouldn?t put it on par with a familypizza restaurant. Absolutely amazing! We drove from Winter Garden just to get pizza and were not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and... modern. The employees were all helpful and friendly. The there was the pizza. OUTSTANDING! This is the best pizza out there. Ifyou are a fan of pepperoni and thin crust, this is your place. Glad that Donatos is here in Florida. Have ordered twice online and the app is high-jacked by something called ?Slice?. Both times were charged immediately but did... not receive order. Took several weeks for credit back on card the first time (after making several calls). In all honesty, Joethe manager tried to make it right after it happened second time but it was too late. Will see how many weeks we have to waitthis time for our credit! Will not be ordering online at this place again. Read more
