We have ventured to this place a few times. The food is always outstanding but the service is hit or miss. This last visit,... our food came out before we received our drink order due to a backup at the bar, and our drinks came half full. Try the lambmeatballs appetizer. Excellent lunch with a friend! We had Oysters Rockafeller as appetizers (they were to die for!! My Cousin on Virginia's Eastern... Shore makes the best and these tied!). We had Cream of Crab Soup (Maryland style delicious - the owner, chef is from Maryland.He is hands on and came by our table to say hello) and Seafood Cobb. Fresh, Scrumptous! Stopped here for lunch one day during the week while we were in town. We enjoyed our meal here. I had the Coffee Old Fashioned... and the Grilled Pineapple Spicy Margarita to drink. The old fashioned was just OK, but I really liked the Grilled PineappleSpicy Margarita. Just the right amount of spice for a cocktail. Our table shared the Charred Octopus and a half dozen oysters tostart. The oysters were fresh and our table enjoyed the Kumamotos the best. I had the Crab Cake Sandwich as my main and therewas a good amount of crab in it and not too much filler. Just what you're looking for in crabcake. Love the food and the service was great! Definitely recommend the Bloody Mary for brunch. The crab cake sandwich was the best... I?ve ever had and they also have other choices for those who don?t love seafood. Brine seems like a whole in the wall place, located in a sleepy Sarasota strip mall but delivers on flavor and service. We had... Sunday brunch and had to come back for dinner later in the week because it's so good. It is also conveniently located near oneof the top rated beaches in FL, Siesta Key. My 14 year old daughter said that if she were on death row her last meal would bethe creamy crab soup. I enjoyed the ceviche, grilled snapper and a perfect bloody mary while my son tasted swordfish and oystersfor the first time. The owner was so kind to let us sit in the outside patio with our little pug pup too. Pur waiter was adelight and attended to everything we needed. I will be back on my next trip. Read more
Pleasantly surprised with our experience at Brine. Their atmosphere is a well thought out open air concept, with an upscale... coastal vibe. Perfectly suits the Sarasota area. Brine Seafood & Raw Bar is a must! Great atmosphere, fantastic food and drinks, superb service. We will definitely be back next... time we're in Sarasota. We enjoyed the fresh oysters, ribeye, crab cakes, and a chocolate souffle, as well as a small samplingof their unique cocktails (try the orange crush)! We walked in 30mts before they closed, and they never made us feel rushed. The service was outstanding the minute we walked in... the door. Jillien was our server, and she made our first experience absolutely memorable. The food was delicious, we orderedCalamari to start.
