I can't say that this place has bad food, but they gave me two dishes that were completely different from what was in a menu.... Salmon carpaccio didn't have arugula, parmesan, capers but had avocado and some mixed greens on top. Seafood salad didn't havemussels, calamari, octopus, conch, shrimp, asparagus but had mixed greens, sashimi salmon, tuna, shrimp, kanikama. So I reallydon't understand how you just create whatever items, not thinking that it was ordered because of something you didn't put there.I think you should let your customers know when you don't have the right ingredients. I have been living in Lakewood ranch for 3 years. I moved here from Broward county. This is the best sushi I?ve had in Sarasota... or manatee counties. Blue Koi Sushi is easily the best sushi restaurant in Sarasota! The Fish is always ultra fresh and the rice is always the... correct consistency and flavor. I usually go for the sushi combos or platters. The poke bowls are also outstanding! TunaNachos are also a must try.
