What is going on with this place, i went to college in saranac lake and would go to the deli 2-3 times a week, hands down the... best sandwiches I?ve ever had, Now I live an hour away and stroll thru on my way to lake placid I always check the website onmy way and it?s says their open but upon arriving my last 10-12 times they have their daily specials posted on the windows butare never open, doors locked, blinds in windows shut?.I miss this place, are they only open for catering now? If you are trying to decide on a wedding caterer, just hire Katy and her team!! My husband and I cannot say enough good things... about having Katy's team catering for our wedding. First of all, the food was amazing (and you can't say that about a lot ofweddings). We did buffet style but everything was fresh and delicious, we got a lot of compliments on the food both during andin the weeks and months following our wedding. Second of all the service, I truly feel like Katy and her entire team went aboveand beyond. From setting up the tables to having a glass of champagne ready for my husband and I after the ceremony to dealingwith the 800 kinds of wine we had bought for the bar, they truly made our wedding day SO special and easy. Katy's experience inplanning was clear as she ensured we didn't miss a single detail in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Not only that, but sheand each one of her amazing team members was so incredibly sweet. We still talk about our wedding food (10/10 recommend thebutternut squash ravioli and scalloped potatoes!) and hope to get future anniversaries catered to keep remembering it by! Read more
Placed an order on the phone and they said the order would take 45 minutes. One hour later we get our food after seeing new... people get their food first?not sure how this is fair.. Always enjoy the sandwiches but not the time waiting for it. Read more
I thought that the food was a little expensive but I really wanted to try it because I had heard good things. Then the food came... out, and let me tell you you get what you pay for. The ziti with sausage and meatballs was huge and the Mediterranean chickenwith orzo was incredible. My wife and I had two meals each from them Will definitely go back. Read more
Had the rubin it was good also the potato salad it also was good, the reason for the 4 stars was the wait time it was over 20... minutes and no one was there when we arrived. My feet were sore already I didn't need to have to stand on the sidewalk in thesun with a bad knee and foot. But the saving grace the food was good and bonus the prices were reasonable too!! Lakeview Catering provides a world-class experience. The quality of food and service was awe-inspiring. I recently held an event... in Saranac, and guests had arrived from different parts of the country. Each guest commented on how impressed they were withLakeview. Lakeview hired a fantastic bartender for our event. Several guests were from NYC and had access to excellentcocktails, but they could not stop raving about how great a bartender Lakeview had provided. We're already working on our nextevent planned for Saranac, and we're excited to work with Lakeview again! Read more
This place was BUSY! There is a small parking lot and a bunch of street parking. Due to COVID they take your order at the... outside window. They have a wide variety of sandwich, soup and side options. It took about 5-10 minutes to get my order. While Iwas waiting several people came and picked up a phone order (which I will do next time!) I had a 12" chicken salad sub, and WOWit was amazing. This is a Saranac Lake staple! All of the soups and salads are hand made with a perfected recipe. Every sandwich is a creation... with that certain 'je ne sais quoi.'
