Amazing restaurant in Florida. Highly recommend sitting on the second floor for some of the most breathtaking views of Florida?s... emerald coast. The food is absolutely incredible. But what makes this place even better is the service?. Loved the bartender andwaiter, Brandon. Believe me, you can trust Brandon on all of his food recommendations. He highly recommended the chicken fingers(marinated in sweet tea)? It sounds weird, but it is delicious. Also, the crab claws are to die for. Great food and greatfellowship with captain, Brandon! She looks like she wasoverwhelmed took her order did not recommend anything on the menu. The lobster bisque was not as good as I expected definitelygot a lot to learn from Harry Ts in Destin this tasted more like corn chowder I'm an expert at lobster bisque and crab bisque bynow.. music was great though. We did get the duck fries and they were decent not something amazing and the wings were very good. Read more

Location- The restaurant is located on a corner right across the street from the beach. The Wait- Very long. Our wait for 8... people at 7:30p on Sunday was 2 hrs, so we walked across the street to hang out on the pier. We were able to sit in a loungearea outside. We ordered the Duck Fat Fries which were not that great. They weren't bad, but did not have the slight crunch afry should have. It was more like a baked potato stick. Ambience- It was nice. We sat in the tent area where the band was. MaseHenderson I believe was the guys name. He said he would play some original music, but he was covering songs, which was not aproblem. We just found it funny. Food- The food was not what it was hyped up to be. We did a lot of research to find theperfect place to get seafood because we are sort of foodies, but the food was just food. Nothing spectacular except the price. This would be what I would call a tourist trap. The prices are extremely high for regular seafood. $32 for a fish sandwich isridiculous and they know it, but I am sure they do not care. Service- Our server was great. I did not catch her name, but shewas very attentive. Overall- We will not return. Read more

I had read that Shunk Gulley has been rated one of the best restaurants in Florida. I had not visited and waited until the... traffic and crowds dissipated after the high tourist season. The view of the Gulf from the upstairs dining area was beautiful. The service was very good and all of the employees with whom we interacted was excellent. Overall, the food was okay but veryexpensive for the quality. On a positive note, the house salad was very good. The lettuce and vegetables were fresh. Thebalsamic vinagerette had excellent flavor. I ordered a dozen oysters that were similar to Oysters Rockefeller. They had adressing of cheese, garlic and lemon and sounded very good. The waiter said they were very good. As my main reason for visitingwas the oysters, I thought this sounded good. $28 for a dozen sounded high but inflation is rampant and oysters were probablyexpensive. Upon receiving the dish of oysters, I tried one. It was a served hot which was good. I did not taste any oysterwith the first bite and checked to see if there was actually an oyster. I pulled the cheese off of the top layer to check. Theflavor was only of cheese, garlic and lemon. That is not all bad but oysters should have been the primary ingredient. There wasa very small oyster in each shell. I had never had oysters that were that small. Unfortunately, they were not large enough to beflavorful or a significant part of the dish. A couple of items were black as the items in the shell were burned by high heatand that burned taste was stronger than the cheese. It may be naive. I was surprised a restaurant with this high reputationwould serve this dish. Sauteed crab claws were apparently better according to my dining companion. They were spicy but cookedto a light brown. We left after paying a bill of $73 or so for a couple of appetizers and small salad. We drove back home andfinished lunch having a peanut butter sandwich. Overall, I had high expectations for the restaurant. The me Read more
